1. Initial Battery Installation/Activation
Your watch requires 1 CR2 battery. If the watch is not running upon arrival, it may be in a power-saving mode or require battery activation. Consult a professional watch technician for battery installation or replacement to avoid damaging the watch's water resistance seal.
2. Uhrzeit und Datum einstellen
- Ziehen Sie die Krone: Gently pull the crown (the knob on the side of the watch) out to the first or second click position. The number of clicks depends on whether your watch has a date function.
- Stellen Sie die Uhrzeit ein: Rotate the crown to move the hands clockwise until the correct time is displayed. For watches with a date function, ensure you set the time past 12 AM/PM to advance the date correctly.
- Set the Date (if applicable): If your watch has a date function, pull the crown to the first click position (if time setting is the second click) and rotate it to adjust the date.
- Drücken Sie die Krone zurück: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into its original position to start the watch movement and ensure water resistance.
3. Riemenverstellung
The stainless steel band can be adjusted for a comfortable fit. This typically involves removing or adding links. It is recommended to have this procedure performed by a professional jeweler or watch technician to prevent damage to the band or clasp.
Bedienung des Chronographen
Your Timex Expedition watch features a chronograph function for measuring elapsed time. The chronograph is operated using the pushers located on either side of the crown.

- Start/Stopp: Press the top pusher (usually at the 2 o'clock position) to start the chronograph. Press it again to stop the timing.
- Zurücksetzen: While the chronograph is stopped, press the bottom pusher (usually at the 4 o'clock position) to reset all chronograph hands to zero.
- Split Time (if available): Some chronographs allow for split-time measurement. Consult the full Timex manual for specific instructions if this feature is present on your model.
INDIGLO Night-Light
To activate the INDIGLO night-light, press and hold the crown (or a designated pusher, depending on the model). The entire dial will illuminate for easy reading in low-light conditions.
Wartung
Reinigung Ihrer Uhr
- Reinigen Sie das Uhrengehäuse und das Glas mit einem weichen, fusselfreien Tuch.amp Tuch.
- For stainless steel bands, a soft brush with mild soap and water can be used, ensuring to rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.
- Vermeiden Sie die Verwendung von aggressiven Chemikalien, Lösungsmitteln oder Scheuermitteln, da diese die Oberfläche oder die Dichtungen der Uhr beschädigen können.
Wasserbeständigkeit
Your watch has a water resistance depth of 100 meters (330 feet). This makes it suitable for showering, swimming, and snorkeling. However, it is not suitable for scuba diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before exposing the watch to water. Do not operate the pushers or crown while the watch is wet or submerged.
Batteriewechsel
When the battery needs replacement, it is highly recommended to take your watch to an authorized Timex service center or a qualified watch repair professional. This ensures the correct battery type (CR2) is used and the water resistance seal is properly maintained.
Fehlerbehebung
- Uhr läuft nicht: Prüfen Sie, ob die Krone vollständig eingedrückt ist. Falls ja, muss die Batterie möglicherweise ausgetauscht werden.
- Falsche Uhrzeit/falsches Datum: Refer to the "Setting the Time and Date" section. Ensure the crown is fully pushed in after setting.
- Chronographenzeiger stellen sich nicht auf Null zurück: This may require a chronograph hand calibration. Consult the full Timex manual or an authorized service center for adjustment procedures.
- Kondensation unter Kristall: This indicates a breach in the water resistance. Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center.
