4. Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Eaton TR1107W receptacle:

1. Strom ausschalten: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse that controls the power to the outlet where you will be installing the receptacle. Turn it OFF. Verify power is off using a voltage Tester.
2. Remove Old Receptacle (if applicable): Carefully remove the wallplate and unscrew the old receptacle from the electrical box. Disconnect the wires, noting which wire was connected to which terminal.

5. Bedienung

The Eaton TR1107W is a tamper-resistant receptacle. This means it has an internal shutter mechanism that prevents foreign objects from being inserted into the slots. To insert a plug, apply even pressure to both prongs simultaneously. This will open the shutters and allow the plug to enter. If a plug does not insert easily, ensure both prongs are aligned and apply firm, even pressure.
