2. Sicherheitshinweise

Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitsvorkehrungen, um Verletzungen und Schäden am Gerät zu vermeiden:

  • Installation: Ensure all electrical connections are secure and waterproof. Incorrect wiring can lead to electrical shock or fire.
  • Stromversorgung: Connect the unit only to a power source that matches the specified voltage.
  • Wartung: Versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät selbst zu öffnen oder zu reparieren. Überlassen Sie alle Wartungsarbeiten qualifiziertem Fachpersonal.
  • Navigation: The echo sounder is an aid to navigation and should not be used as the sole source for navigation decisions. Always use official charts and visual observations.
  • Reinigung: Use only mild cleaners and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive materials or strong chemicals.

3. Packungsinhalt

Please verify that all items are present in your product packaging. The specific contents may vary based on the purchased package. Typically, the main unit, mounting bracket, power cable, and documentation are included. A transducer is often sold separately. Refer to your product's packaging list for exact details.

4. Einrichtung

4.1 Montage der Einheit

The CVS-126 unit is designed for a bracket mount installation. Select a location that provides a clear view of the display, is protected from excessive moisture, and allows easy access to controls. Use the provided mounting bracket and hardware to secure the unit. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

4.2 Installation des Wandlers

The transducer, which transmits and receives sonar signals, is a critical component. The CVS-126 supports dual-frequency (50/200kHz) transducers. Installation methods vary (e.g., thru-hull, transom mount, in-hull). Follow the specific instructions provided with your transducer for proper installation to ensure optimal performance and prevent damage to your vessel. Ensure the transducer cable is routed securely and protected from abrasion.

4.3 Stromanschluss

Connect the power cable to a 12V DC power source on your vessel. Ensure the connection is fused appropriately and is waterproof. Connect the other end of the power cable to the designated power input port on the back of the CVS-126 unit.

4.4 Optional GPS Sensor Input

For features like "Fishing Hot Spots," an optional GPS sensor can be connected to the CVS-126. Refer to the GPS sensor's manual for connection details and ensure compatibility with the CVS-126's input specifications.

5. Bedienungsanleitung

5.1 Ein-/Ausschalten

Halten Sie die GLATTBUTT button (power symbol) to turn the unit on or off. A short press of the GLATTBUTT button adjusts the display brightness.

5.2 Bedienfeld vorbeiview

The control panel on the right side of the unit features several buttons and a rotary knob for navigation and function selection:

  • ANZEIGE: Cycles through various display modes or information screens.
  • EREIGNIS: Marks specific events or locations on the display.
  • FUNKTION: Accesses various functions and settings.
  • SPEISEKARTE: Opens the main menu for system configuration.
  • ▲RANGE / ▼RANGE: Adjusts the depth range displayed on the screen.
  • SEL (Rotary Knob): Rotates to navigate menus or adjust values, and presses to select an option. This knob also controls Gain.
  • Steuerkreuz: Dient zur Navigation in Menüs und zur Anpassung von Einstellungen.

5.3 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Technology

The CVS-126 utilizes DSP technology to provide a clearer and more detailed image. This technology filters out noise, making it easier to distinguish between baitfish, larger fish, schools of fish, and the sea floor. The DSP automatically optimizes the signal for both shallow and deep water conditions.

5.4 Sona-Tone Feature

The exclusive Sona-Tone feature provides audible alerts, using different sounds to identify fish and schools of fish. This allows users to be aware of underwater activity even when not directly observing the display.

5.5 Automatische Funktionen

For simplified operation, the Auto Function mode automatically selects the most reliable settings for Gain, Range, and Shift. This ensures optimal performance without constant manual adjustments.

5.6 Fishing Hot Spots

With an optional GPS sensor connected, the CVS-126 can store and navigate back to your favorite fishing hot spots or other previously saved positions. Use the EREIGNIS button to mark locations.

5.7 Storing Screen Images

The unit can store up to 10 screen images in its built-in memory. This allows for later recall and review of potential hot spots or interesting sonar readings with a "one-touch" function. Refer to the menu for image storage and recall options.

6. Wartung

6.1 Display reinigen

Wischen Sie den Bildschirm mit einem weichen, fusselfreien Tuch ab.amp cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a mild glass cleaner applied to the cloth, not directly to the screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2 Unit Exterior

Clean the exterior of the unit with a soft cloth and fresh water. Ensure all port covers are securely closed to prevent water ingress.

6.3 Pflege des Wandlers

Regularly inspect the transducer for marine growth or damage. Clean the transducer face with a soft brush and fresh water to ensure optimal performance. Avoid scratching the transducer surface.

6.4 Speicherung

When storing the unit for extended periods, especially in cold climates, disconnect it from power and store it in a dry, temperature-controlled environment.

7. Fehlerbehebung

If you encounter issues with your CVS-126, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Kein Strom:
    • Check power cable connections at both the unit and the power source.
    • Verify the vessel's battery is charged.
    • Inspect the fuse in the power line; replace if blown.
  • No Sonar Display / No Bottom Reading:
    • Ensure the transducer is properly connected to the unit.
    • Check for obstructions or marine growth on the transducer face.
    • Verify the depth range setting is appropriate for the current water depth.
    • If in Auto mode, try switching to manual mode and adjusting Gain.
  • Unclear or Cluttered Display:
    • Adjust the Gain setting using the SEL Knopf.
    • Ensure the DSP feature is active (if configurable).
    • Prüfen Sie, ob elektrische Störungen durch andere Bordelektronik vorliegen.
