Einführung
This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Timex Men's Expedition Metal Field Watch (Model T49870SU). This watch is designed for everyday wear, combining durability with classic style.

Aufstellen
Before using your watch, follow these steps to activate it and set the correct time and date.
1. Erste Aktivierung
Your watch comes with a small plastic piece inserted into the crown to preserve battery life during shipping. Remove this plastic piece to activate the watch.

2. Uhrzeit einstellen
- Pull the crown out completely to the furthest position. The second hand will stop.
- Durch Drehen der Krone im Uhrzeigersinn oder gegen den Uhrzeigersinn können Sie die Stunden- und Minutenzeiger auf die gewünschte Zeit einstellen.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back in completely to start the watch.
3. Setting the Date (Quick Date Function)
The watch features a Quick Date function for easy date adjustment.
- Pull the crown out halfway to the first click position.
- Turn the crown to adjust the date. Continue turning until the desired date is displayed in the date window.
- Push the crown back in completely to secure the date setting.

4. Die Uhr tragen
Adjust the genuine leather strap to fit comfortably on your wrist. Ensure it is snug but not too tight to allow for proper circulation.

Bedienungsanleitung
Uhrzeit und Datum ablesen
The watch features a clear cream dial with Arabic numerals for easy time reading. The date is displayed in a window at the 3 o'clock position.
Using the Indiglo Night-Light
To illuminate the watch dial in low-light conditions, press and hold the crown. The Indiglo night-light will activate, providing uniform blue electroluminescent lighting. Release the crown to turn off the light.

Wasserbeständigkeit
Your watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This means it is suitable for short periods of recreational swimming. However, it is nicht designed for diving, snorkeling, or prolonged water exposure. Avoid operating the crown while the watch is wet or submerged.
Reinigung
Reinigen Sie das Uhrengehäuse und das Glas mit einem weichen, fusselfreien Tuch.amp cloth. For the leather strap, avoid excessive moisture. If the leather gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight.
Batteriewechsel
The watch uses 1 Lithium Metal battery (included). The battery life is approximately 8 years. When the battery needs replacement, it is recommended to take your watch to an authorized Timex service center or a professional watch repair shop to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
Fehlerbehebung
Sollten Sie Probleme mit Ihrer Uhr haben, beachten Sie bitte die folgenden häufig auftretenden Probleme und Lösungen:
- Uhr läuft nicht:
- Ensure the plastic piece has been removed from the crown and the crown is fully pushed in.

- Date not changing or incorrect:
- Check if the time is set correctly, especially the AM/PM cycle. The date typically changes around midnight.
- Use the Quick Date function to manually adjust the date as described in the "Setting the Date" section.
- Indiglo light not working:
- Ensure the crown is being pressed firmly.
- A low battery may affect the Indiglo function before the watch stops running entirely.
