3. Sicherheitshinweise

4.1. Portable Chime Unit Features

5. Einrichtung
5.1. Installing Batteries in the Chime Unit
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the portable chime unit.
- Öffnen Sie die Abdeckung des Batteriefachs.
- Insert 3 x C batteries (LR14, not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-) inside the compartment.
- Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel fest.
5.2. Installing Battery in the Push Button
- The CR2032 battery is typically pre-installed. If not, open the push button casing (usually by gently prying it open with a small screwdriver).
- Legen Sie die CR2032-Batterie so ein, dass die positive Seite (+) nach oben zeigt.
- Schließen Sie das casing sicher.

5.3. Montage des Druckknopfes
The push button is designed for outdoor use and can be mounted using screws or the provided adhesive pad.
- Choose a suitable location near your door, ensuring it is easily accessible to visitors.
- Verwendung von Schrauben: Mark the desired drilling points, drill pilot holes, and secure the push button base with the provided screws. Snap the front cover back on.
- Using Adhesive Pad: Clean the mounting surface thoroughly. Peel off the protective backing from the adhesive pad and firmly press the push button onto the surface for at least 30 seconds.
- Ensure the push button is mounted vertically for optimal performance.

5.4. Pairing (Automatic Learning)
The Byron BYR301 features automatic learning. Typically, the push button and chime unit are pre-paired at the factory. If they do not connect automatically, or if you are adding another push button, follow these steps:
- Ensure both the chime unit and push button have fresh batteries installed.
- Press and hold the pairing button (refer to the chime unit diagram for location, usually a small button or switch) on the chime unit until it emits a short sound or its indicator light flashes.
- Within 10 seconds, press the wireless push button. The chime unit should sound, indicating successful pairing.
- Test the connection by pressing the push button. The chime unit should sound.

6. Bedienungsanleitung
6.1. Melodien wechseln
Das Glockenspiel bietet 8 verschiedene Melodien. So ändern Sie die Melodie:
- Locate the melody selection button on the chime unit (refer to Figure 4.1).
- Press this button repeatedly to cycle through the available melodies. The chime unit will play each melody as you select it.
- Stop pressing when you hear your desired melody.
6.2. Lautstärke anpassen
The chime unit has 4 volume levels. To adjust the volume:
- Locate the volume control button on the chime unit (refer to Figure 4.1).
- Press this button repeatedly to cycle through the volume levels (low, medium, high, extra loud).
- Hören Sie auf zu drücken, sobald Sie die gewünschte Lautstärke erreicht haben.
6.3. Using the Flashing Light
The chime unit features an optional flashing light for a visual alert.
- The flashing light activates automatically when the chime sounds.
- There is typically no separate control for the flashing light; it operates in conjunction with the chime.
7. Wartung
7.1. Batteriewechsel
- Glockenspieleinheit: Replace the 3 x C batteries when the chime sound becomes weak or the unit stops functioning. Follow the steps in Section 5.1.
- Druckknopf: Replace the CR2032 battery when the chime unit no longer responds to the push button. Follow the steps in Section 5.2.
- Always use fresh, high-quality batteries of the specified type.
7.2. Reinigung
- Wischen Sie die Klingeleinheit und den Klingelknopf mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch ab.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the surfaces.
- Ensure no moisture enters the units during cleaning.
