This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of the Columbia CS4-232-EU 2-Light Strip Light. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning installation or use to ensure proper function and safety.

The Columbia CS4-232-EU is a 4-foot straight-sided utility channel designed to accommodate two T8 32-watt fluorescent lamps (lamps not included). It features a durable steel housing and an electronic instant start T8 ballast, suitable for 120-277 VAC electrical systems.

5. Installation (Einrichtung)

Bevor Sie beginnen: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker. Gather necessary tools (e.g., screwdriver, wire strippers, drill, mounting hardware). This fixture can be surface-mounted or suspended.

5.1. Montage der Vorrichtung

The fixture's die-formed steel housing allows for various mounting options. Mounting hardware is not supplied and must be selected based on the mounting surface and method (surface or suspended).

1. Oberflächen-Montage:
   • Position the fixture in the desired location and mark the mounting points.

   • Secure the fixture to the ceiling or wall using appropriate screws or anchors (not included).

   • Install suspension chains or rods (not included) to the ceiling structure.
   • Attach the fixture to the suspension system, ensuring it is level and securely fastened.

5.2. Wiring the Fixture

VORSICHT: Ensure power is OFF before wiring.

1. Open the ballast cover. The ballast cover is retained by 1/4 turn fasteners.
2. Route the electrical supply wires into the fixture's wiring compartment.
3. Connect the supply wires to the fixture's wires according to local electrical codes:
   • Verbinden Sie Schwarz (hot) supply wire to the Schwarz fixture wire.
   • Verbinden Sie Weiß (neutral) supply wire to the Weiß fixture wire.
   • Verbinden Sie Grün or bare copper (ground) supply wire to the Grün fixture wire or ground screw.
4. Secure all wire connections with approved wire connectors.
5. Carefully tuck all wires into the wiring compartment and close the ballast cover, securing it with the 1/4 turn fasteners.

5.3. Installing Fluorescent Lamps

This fixture requires two 4-foot T8 32-watt fluorescent lamps (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).

1. Ensure power is still OFF.
2. Align the pins of the T8 fluorescent lamp with the sockets at each end of the fixture.
3. Drücken Sie vorsichtig auf lamp into the sockets and rotate it 90 degrees until it clicks into place.
4. Repeat for the second lamp.
5. Stellen Sie sicher, dass beide lamps are securely seated.

6. Bedienung

Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker. The fixture will operate via the wall switch or control connected to its power supply.

• Turn on the wall switch to illuminate the fixture.
• Turn off the wall switch to extinguish the fixture.

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your fixture.

7.1. Reinigung

WARNUNG: Trennen Sie vor der Reinigung die Stromversorgung.

• Wischen Sie die Außenseite der Leuchte mit einem weichen, fusselfreien Tuch ab.amp Tuch.
• Verwenden Sie keine Scheuermittel oder Lösungsmittel, da diese die Oberfläche beschädigen können.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Leuchte vollständig trocken ist, bevor Sie die Stromversorgung wiederherstellen.

7.2. Lamp Ersatz

WARNUNG: Trennen Sie die Stromversorgung, bevor Sie l austauschenamps.

1. Erlaube lampVor der Handhabung vollständig abkühlen lassen.
2. Gently rotate the old lamp 90 degrees and pull it out of the sockets.
3. Insert a new 4-foot T8 32-watt fluorescent lamp by aligning the pins, pushing it into the sockets, and rotating 90 degrees until it locks.
4. Alte Leuchtstoffröhren entsorgenamps gemäß den örtlichen Vorschriften.

8. Fehlerbehebung

Before attempting any troubleshooting, ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker.
