GENERIC Coiled Power Cord User Manual

1. Einleitung

This manual provides instructions for the GENERIC Coiled Power Cord, designed as a compatible replacement for various RadioShack Radar Detector models. This power cord is intended solely to supply 12V DC power to your compatible radar detector from a vehicle's 12V accessory socket (cigarette lighter). It does not include any control functions such as on/off, mute, alert, or USB charging capabilities.

The GENERIC Coiled Power Cord features a standard vehicle 12V accessory plug on one end and a barrel connector on the other, compatible with the specified RadioShack radar detectors. The cord is coiled for flexibility and extends up to 7 feet in length. It includes an integrated fuse for protection and an LED light indicator to confirm power supply.

3. Einrichtung

1. Connect to Radar Detector: Insert the barrel connector end of the coiled power cord into the power input port of your compatible RadioShack radar detector. Ensure a secure connection.
2. Anschluss an die Fahrzeugstromversorgung: Insert the 12V accessory plug end of the coiled power cord into your vehicle's 12V accessory socket (cigarette lighter).
3. Leistung überprüfen: Once connected, the LED indicator on the 12V accessory plug should illuminate, indicating that power is being supplied to the radar detector.

4. Bedienungsanleitung

This power cord is designed for a single purpose: to provide continuous 12V DC power to your radar detector. There are no operational controls on the cord itself. Your radar detector will power on automatically when the cord is connected to a live 12V accessory socket and the detector is properly connected.

• The cord does not feature an on/off button.
• The cord does not provide mute functionality.
• The cord does not include any alert functions.
• The cord does not have a USB charging port.

All operational controls for the radar detector itself must be managed directly on the radar detector unit.

5. Wartung

Sicherungswechsel

The 12V accessory plug contains a replaceable fuse to protect your radar detector and vehicle's electrical system from power surges. If the LED indicator on the plug does not light up and your radar detector is not receiving power, the fuse may need to be replaced.

1. Stromversorgung trennen: Unplug the 12V accessory plug from your vehicle's socket.
2. Sicherung öffnen: Unscrew the tip of the 12V accessory plug to reveal the fuse.
3. Sicherung ersetzen: Carefully remove the old fuse and insert a new, identical fuse (an extra fuse is typically included with the product).
4. Zusammenbauen: Screw the tip back onto the 12V accessory plug.
5. Prüfen: Reconnect the plug to your vehicle's socket and verify the LED illuminates.

6. Fehlerbehebung

No Power to Radar Detector

• Verbindungen prüfen: Ensure both the barrel connector to the radar detector and the 12V accessory plug to the vehicle's socket are firmly seated.
• Verify Vehicle Socket: Test the vehicle's 12V accessory socket with another known working device to ensure it is supplying power. Some vehicle sockets are only active when the ignition is on.
• Inspect LED Indicator: If the LED on the 12V accessory plug is not lit, the fuse inside the plug may be blown. Refer to the "Fuse Replacement" section for instructions.
• Check Radar Detector: Ensure your radar detector is functioning correctly with its original power source, if available, to rule out a detector malfunction.
