5. Einrichtung
5.1. Einlegen der Batterie
- Entfernen Sie die hintere Abdeckung des Thermostats.
- Insert the 2 x LR6 (AA) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the back cover. The display should now activate.
5.2. Montage des Thermostats
The Hager EK570 is designed for surface mounting.
- Choose a suitable location on an interior wall, away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heat sources (e.g., radiators, lamps). The recommended height is approximately 1.5 meters from the floor.
- Carefully detach the front part of the thermostat from its base plate.
- Mark the drilling points on the wall using the base plate as a template.

- Press 'OK' to confirm and then use '+' or '-' to adjust the values (hour, minute, day, month, year).
- Press 'OK' to save each setting and exit the menu.
6. Bedienungsanleitung
The Hager EK570 offers various operating modes and programming options to optimize your heating.
6.1. Selecting Operating Modes
The thermostat supports the following modes:
- Komfortmodus: Maintains a comfortable temperature (e.g., 21°C) during occupied periods.
- Reduzierter Modus: Maintains a lower, energy-saving temperature (e.g., 18°C) during unoccupied periods or at night.
- Frostschutzmodus: Maintains a minimum temperature (e.g., 5°C) to prevent pipes from freezing.
- Manueller Modus: Allows you to set a constant temperature that overrides any programmed schedule.
- Urlaubsmodus: Maintains a specific temperature for an extended period (e.g., during vacation).

6.2. Adjusting Temperature Setpoint
In any operating mode (except Frost Protection), you can temporarily adjust the temperature setpoint:

- The new setpoint will be active until the next programmed event or until you manually change it again. This is known as a temporary override.
6.3. Wöchentliches Programm
The EK570 is a weekly programmable thermostat, allowing you to set up to 48 program steps per day across 4 setpoints (Comfort, Reduced, etc.). It comes with 3 pre-recorded programs and 1 free program for customization.
- Press the 'PROG' or 'SET' button to enter programming mode.
- Use '+' or '-' to select the day of the week you wish to program (e.g., Monday, Tuesday, etc.).
- Press 'OK' to confirm the day.
- The display will show the first program period. Use '+' or '-' to set the start time and then 'OK'.
- Next, select the desired operating mode (Comfort, Reduced, etc.) for this period using '+' or '-' and confirm with 'OK'.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for all desired program periods for that day.
- You can copy programs from one day to another if needed (refer to specific instructions in the full manual for this feature).
- Exit programming mode by pressing 'PROG' or 'MODE' button.
7. Wartung
7.1. Reinigung
Reinigen Sie den Thermostat casing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical agents, as these can damage the plastic and electronic components.
7.2. Batteriewechsel
The thermostat is powered by 2 x LR6 (AA) batteries. When the battery symbol appears on the display, or if the display becomes dim, it is time to replace the batteries.
