2. Components and Compatibility

The Hygro-i2 probe is designed for integration with specific Tramex moisture meters and data loggers. To operate the probe, an electronic interface cable is required.

2.1 Erforderliches Zubehör

  • Electronic Interface Cable (RHIE2B): This cable connects the Hygro-i2 probe to compatible Tramex devices.

2.2 Kompatible Geräte

The Hygro-i2 probe must be used in conjunction with one of the following Tramex devices:

3. Setup and Installation for ASTM F2170 Testing

Proper setup is crucial for accurate in-situ relative humidity testing in concrete floors according to ASTM F2170.

3.1 Preparing the Concrete Slab

  1. Bohrloch: Drill a hole into the concrete slab to a depth of 40% of the slab thickness if drying from one side, or 20% if drying from two sides. The hole diameter should be appropriate for the probe sleeve.
  2. Sauberes Loch: Thoroughly clean the drilled hole to remove all debris and dust.
  3. Insert Sleeve: Insert a plastic sleeve (not included with probe) into the cleaned hole. Ensure the sleeve is flush with the concrete surface.
  4. Cap Sleeve: Place a cap over the sleeve to prevent moisture ingress and allow the hole to acclimate.

3.2 Probe Acclimation

Allow the drilled hole and sleeve to acclimate to the ambient conditions for a minimum of 24 hours before inserting the Hygro-i2 probe. This ensures that the air within the hole reaches equilibrium with the concrete's internal moisture conditions.

3.3 Anschließen der Sonde

  1. Kabel anschließen: Attach the RHIE2B Electronic Interface Cable to the Hygro-i2 probe. Ensure a secure connection.

4. Bedienungsanleitung

Once the concrete hole has acclimated and the probe is connected, you can proceed with taking measurements.

4.1 Messung durchführen

  1. Sonde einsetzen: Remove the cap from the acclimated sleeve. Carefully insert the Hygro-i2 probe into the sleeve until it rests securely at the bottom.
  2. Stromzähler: Turn on your connected Tramex moisture meter or data logger.
  3. Daten lesen: The device will display the relative humidity, temperature, and dew point readings. Allow a few moments for the readings to stabilize. The Hygro-i2 probe is known for its fast acclimation and temperature response, minimizing downtime between tests.

5. Wartung

6. Fehlerbehebung
