4. Einrichtung
4.1 Anschließen des Senders
- Stromanschluss: Connect the power lead from the transmitter's wiring harness to a stable DC power source within the specified voltage range of 6-17V. Ensure correct polarity (red for positive, black for negative).
- Video-Eingang: Connect the video input lead from your camera or video source to the corresponding input on the transmitter's wiring harness.
- Antenne: The circular polarized antenna is permanently mounted. Ensure it is not obstructed and has a clear line of sight for optimal signal transmission.
4.2 Montage
Mount the transmitter securely in your desired application (e.g., drone, RC vehicle). Consider the following:
- Belüftung: Ensure adequate airflow around the transmitter to dissipate heat.
- Interferenz: Mount the transmitter away from other electronic components that may cause interference, such as ESCs (Electronic Speed Controllers) or motors.
- Antennenausrichtung: Position the antenna to achieve the best possible signal reception with your receiver.
5. Betrieb
5.1 Kanalauswahl
The Fat Shark FSV2462 transmitter uses dip switches for selecting the operating channel. Refer to the label on the transmitter (visible in Figure 1) for the specific switch combinations corresponding to each channel. Typically, a 4-position dip switch allows for 16 different channels across various 5.8 GHz bands.
- Consult Channel Chart: Locate the channel chart printed on the transmitter or in supplementary documentation.
- Adjust Dip Switches: Use a small tool (e.g., a toothpick) to set the dip switches to the desired channel configuration. Ensure the switches are fully in either the 'ON' or 'OFF' position.
- Match Receiver: Ensure your video receiver is set to the exact same channel and band as the transmitter for a clear video signal.
5.2 Ein-/Ausschalten
- Einschalten: Once all connections are secure and the channel is selected, apply power to the transmitter. The unit will begin transmitting immediately.
- Ausschalten: Disconnect the power source to turn off the transmitter.
Important: Always ensure the antenna is connected before applying power to the transmitter to prevent damage.
6. Wartung
- Reinigung: Keep the transmitter clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Inspektion: Periodically inspect the wiring harness for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Lagerung: When not in use, store the transmitter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Antennenpflege: While the antenna is robust, avoid excessive bending or impact that could damage its internal structure.
