• Ensure the garage door is balanced and in good working condition before installing the motor.
• Halten Sie Kinder und Haustiere vom Garagentorbereich fern, insbesondere während des Betriebs.
• Kinder dürfen den Garagentoröffner nicht bedienen und nicht mit Fernbedienungen spielen.
• Install the wall control button out of reach of children and away from moving parts of the door.
• The electronic obstacle detection system is designed to protect people and objects. However, always ensure the path of the garage door is clear.
• Im Falle eines Stromausfallstage, use the emergency release to manually operate the door.
• Only qualified personnel should perform electrical connections. Disconnect power before any maintenance or repair.

5. Installation

The Schellenberg Smart DRIVE 10 is designed for quick and easy installation, with up to 90% of the unit pre-assembled. It is suitable for both swing doors and sectional doors.

5.1 Prüfungen vor der Installation

• Ensure your garage door operates smoothly and is properly balanced.
• Verify that the required clearances are met: a minimum of 35mm distance from the ceiling.
• The installation area must be dry and protected from splashing water.

5.2 Montage der Antriebseinheit und der Schiene

1. Assemble the drive rail sections. The continuous drive chain is pre-assembled on one part of the rail and needs to be extended onto the other sections.
2. Attach the motor head to the assembled drive rail.
3. Mount the entire assembly to the ceiling of your garage, ensuring it is centered with the garage door. Secure it firmly using the provided mounting hardware. It is recommended to have assistance due to the weight and length of the unit.
4. Connect the door arm to the garage door and the trolley on the drive rail.

5.3 Elektrischer Anschluss

• Connect the motor to a standard 220-240V AC power outlet using the provided power supply.
• Optional external switching elements (e.g., wall buttons) and light barriers can be connected to the designated terminals. Refer to the wiring diagram in the full manual for specific connections.

5.4 Programming End Stops

After installation, program the opening and closing end stops according to the detailed instructions in the complete manual. This ensures the door opens and closes to the correct positions.

6. Bedienung

6.1 Verwenden der Fernbedienung

The garage door motor is operated using the included handheld transmitters.

• Press a button on the remote control to open or close the garage door.
• The motor features a soft start and soft stop function, which gently accelerates and decelerates the door, reducing wear and tear.

6.2 Sicherheitsmerkmale

• Electronic Obstacle Detection: If the door encounters an obstacle during closing, it will automatically reverse to prevent damage or injury.
• Notentriegelung: In case of a power failure, the emergency release allows you to manually open or close the garage door from the inside.
• Wärmeschutz: The motor is equipped with thermal protection to prevent overheating.
• Electronic Road Sensor (Hall Sensor): Ensures precise positioning and reliable operation.
