Sicherheitshinweise
- Augenschutz: Always wear ANSI-approved safety goggles when working with batteries. Batteries contain corrosive acid that can cause severe eye injury.
- Belüftung: Ensure adequate ventilation when testing batteries. Batteries can produce explosive gases.
- Richtiger Anschluss: Schließen Sie den Tester clamps to the correct battery terminals (positive to positive, negative to negative). Reverse polarity can damage the tester and battery.
- Heiße Oberflächen: The tester will become hot during use. Allow it to cool before handling after a test.
- Kinder und Haustiere: Keep the tester and work area away from children and pets.
- Lagerung: Store the tester in a dry, clean, and safe place when not in use.

The Cen-Tech 100 Amp 6/12V Battery Load Tester consists of a durable metal housing, a clear analog meter, and heavy-duty battery clamps.

Abbildung 1: Cen-Tech 100 Amp 6/12V Battery Load Tester. This image shows the compact, rectangular metal body of the tester with a handle on top. On the front, there is a large analog meter with color-coded sections for battery capacity and charging system status. Attached to the sides are heavy-duty battery clamps: a red clamp for the positive terminal and a black clamp for the negative terminal, both with insulated handles.
- Analoges Messgerät: Zeigt die Batteriekapazität antage, load test results, and charging system status. Features color-coded zones for easy interpretation (BAD, WEAK, OK, GOOD, CHARGING SYSTEM).
- Ventilated Housing: Metall casing with ventilation holes to dissipate heat generated during load testing.
- Handhaben: Integrierter Tragegriff für einfachen Transport.
Aufstellen
- Vehicle Off: Make sure the vehicle's ignition is off and all accessories are turned off.
- Belüftung: Arbeiten Sie in einem gut belüfteten Bereich.

Bedienungsanleitung
Battery Load Test (6V and 12V Batteries)
- Anfangsvoltage Lesen: Observe the meter. It should show the battery's open-circuit voltage. For a fully charged 12V battery, this should be around 12.6V or higher. For a 6V battery, around 6.3V.
- Apply Load: Hold the load test button (if applicable, or simply observe the meter as the load is applied automatically). Do not hold the load for more than 10 seconds. Allow 1 minute between tests to prevent overheating.
- Ergebnisse lesen: While the load is applied, read the voltage auf dem Messgerät.
- GUT: Needle stays in the "GOOD" (green) section. Battery is in good condition.
- OK: Needle stays in the "OK" (light green/yellow) section. Battery is acceptable but may be weakening.
- SCHWACH: Needle drops into the "WEAK" (orange) section. Battery is weak and may need charging or replacement.
- SCHLECHT: Needle drops into the "BAD" (red) section. Battery is likely defective and needs replacement.
- Trennen: Release the load test button (if applicable) and disconnect the clamps from the battery, starting with the negative clamp.
Charging System Test (12V Systems Only)
This test checks the alternator and voltage Regler.
- Observe Meter: The meter should read in the "CHARGING SYSTEM" (green) section, typically between 13.5V and 14.5V.
- Unter 13 V: Indicates a potential problem with the alternator or voltage regulator (undercharging).
- Above 15V: Indicates overcharging, which can damage the battery and vehicle electronics.
- Increase RPM: Briefly increase engine RPM to about 1500-2000 and observe the meter. The reading should remain stable within the "CHARGING SYSTEM" range.
- Turn on Accessories: Turn on headlights (high beam) and the blower motor on high. The voltage should remain above 13V. A significant drop indicates a weak alternator.
- Trennen: Turn off the engine and disconnect the clamps, starting with the negative clamp.
Wartung
- Reinigung: After each use, wipe down the tester with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Lagerung: Store the tester in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure cables are neatly coiled to prevent damage.
- Inspektion: Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig die Kabel und Anschlüsse.amps for any signs of wear, cuts, or damage. Do not use the tester if any part is damaged.
Fehlerbehebung
| Problem | Mögliche Ursache | Lösung |
|---|---|---|
