4.3. Cartridge Alignment and Tracking Force
For optimal sound and to prevent record wear, proper cartridge alignment and tracking force adjustment are essential. These steps are general; refer to your turntable's specific instructions for precise adjustments.

- Antiskating: Set the anti-skate control on your tonearm to match the tracking force.
- Azimut: Ensure the cartridge body is parallel to the record surface when viewvon vorne.
- Vertical Tracking Angle (VTA): Adjust the tonearm height so that the tonearm is parallel to the record surface when the stylus is resting in the groove.
Note: Incorrect alignment can lead to poor sound quality, increased record wear, and premature stylus wear.
