This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Westgate Lighting LED Outdoor Motion Sensor. This accessory is designed to enhance the functionality of outdoor lighting fixtures by providing automatic light activation based on motion detection, ideal for security and convenience.

Setup und Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your motion sensor:

1. Bereiten Sie den Installationsbereich vor: Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker. Choose a mounting location that provides an unobstructed view of the area to be monitored. The sensor features 1/2 NPT threads for easy integration with standard outdoor light fixtures or junction boxes.
2. Montieren Sie den Sensor: Thread the sensor's 1/2 NPT connection into the desired fixture or junction box. Ensure it is securely tightened to prevent movement and maintain weather resistance.

3. Kabelverbindungen: Connect the sensor's wires to your lighting fixture and power supply according to the wiring diagram provided with your lighting fixture or by a qualified electrician. Typically, this involves connecting the Line (Hot), Load (to light), and Neutral wires. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated with wire nuts.
4. Seal and Secure: After wiring, ensure all openings are properly sealed to prevent moisture entry. Position the sensor head to cover the desired detection area.

Bedienungsanleitung

The motion sensor features adjustable settings for optimal performance:

• Empfindlichkeitseinstellung: Use the "SENSITIVITY" dial to adjust the detection range. Turning the dial clockwise increases sensitivity and detection range (up to 70 feet), while turning it counter-clockwise decreases it. Start with a medium setting and adjust as needed to avoid false triggers.
• Timer-Einstellung: Use the "TIMER" dial to set how long the light remains on after motion is detected and stops. The delay can be adjusted up to 300 seconds (5 minutes). Turn clockwise for longer durations, counter-clockwise for shorter durations.
• Testmodus: For initial setup and aiming, set the "TIMER" dial to the "TEST" position. In this mode, the light will turn on for a few seconds each time motion is detected, regardless of ambient light levels. This allows you to walk through the detection area and confirm coverage.
• Automatikmodus: Once testing is complete, set the "TIMER" dial to your desired duration. The sensor will now operate in auto mode, activating the light only when motion is detected and ambient light levels are low enough (dusk to dawn operation).
• Manuelle Übersteuerung: This sensor supports a manual override feature. To activate, quickly flip the power switch (connected to the sensor) OFF and ON within 3 seconds. The light will then stay on continuously. To return to auto mode, flip the power switch OFF and ON again within 3 seconds, or the sensor will automatically reset to auto mode after 8 hours.

Wartung

The Westgate motion sensor requires minimal maintenance:
