3. Setup and Blade Replacement

The scraper handle is designed for easy and quick blade changes, allowing you to adapt the tool to different tasks without requiring additional tools.

1. Selecting the Correct Blade: Choose the appropriate blade width (12mm, 16mm, or 20mm) based on the size and nature of the material to be removed.
2. Die Spannung lösen: Hold the scraper handle firmly. Locate the screw connection on the chuck (the part that holds the blade). Rotate the chuck counter-clockwise to loosen it.
3. Inserting/Removing Blade: Carefully insert the desired blade into the slot in the chuck. Ensure the blade is fully seated and aligned. To remove a blade, pull it straight out once the chuck is loosened.
4. Spannfutter festziehen: Rotate the chuck clockwise to tighten it securely. Ensure the blade is held firmly and does not wobble before use.

4. Bedienungsanleitung

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety gloves and eye protection, when using the scraper set.

Allgemeine Nutzungsrichtlinien:

• Ensure the blade is sharp and securely fastened in the handle.
• Üben Sie gleichmäßigen, festen Druck aus.
• Scrape at a shallow angle to avoid damaging the underlying surface.
• For stubborn residues, consider using a suitable solvent or heat application (if safe for the surface and material) to soften the material before scraping.

1. Removing Plaques, Stickers, and Vignettes:

   Position the blade edge under the edge of the material. Apply gentle, consistent pressure and push forward, maintaining a low angle to lift the material without scratching the surface. For larger items, work in small sections.

2. Removing Adhesive Residues:

   After removing the main material, use the scraper to carefully remove any remaining adhesive. A solvent designed for adhesive removal can be applied first to soften the residue, making it easier to scrape off.

3. Removing Engine Seals (e.g., Cylinder Head, Valve Cover):

   For engine seals, ensure the engine is cool and disconnected from power sources if applicable. Carefully position the blade under the edge of the old gasket or seal material. Use controlled, even strokes to lift and remove the material. Be cautious not to gouge or damage the mating surfaces of the engine components.

5. Wartung

• Reinigung: After each use, clean the blades and handle to remove any residues. Use a cloth and, if necessary, a mild cleaning agent. Ensure all parts are dry before storage.
• Klingenpflege: Sharp blades are crucial for effective and safe operation. Inspect blades regularly for dullness or damage. Replace dull or damaged blades promptly with genuine ViGOR replacement blades (V6030-12, V6030-16, V6030-20).
• Lagerung: Store the scraper set in its original case in a dry, clean place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep out of reach of children.

6. Fehlerbehebung

• Blade Not Scraping Effectively:

  Mögliche Ursache: Klinge ist stumpf oder beschädigt. Lösung: Replace the blade with a new, sharp one.

  Mögliche Ursache: Incorrect scraping angle. Lösung: Adjust the angle to be shallower, allowing the blade to get under the material more effectively.

• Blade Wobbles in Handle:

  Mögliche Ursache: Chuck is not tightened sufficiently. Lösung: Ensure the chuck is rotated clockwise until the blade is held firmly.

  Mögliche Ursache: Blade is not fully seated. Lösung: Loosen the chuck, re-seat the blade completely, and then tighten the chuck.

• Surface Damage Occurs During Scraping:

  Mögliche Ursache: Excessive pressure or steep scraping angle. Lösung: Reduce pressure and maintain a very shallow angle. Practice on a less critical area first.

  Mögliche Ursache: Incorrect blade type for the surface/material. Lösung: Ensure the chosen blade is appropriate for the task. Consider using a plastic scraper for very delicate surfaces if available.
