Aufstellen

1. Einlegen der Batterie

1. Suchen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Unterseite des Deckels.
2. Öffnen Sie die Abdeckung des Batteriefachs.
3. Insert 2 'AA' size batteries (not included) according to the polarity indicators (+/-).
4. Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel fest.

2. Liner Ring and Trash Bag Installation

1. Remove the liner ring from the trash can base.
2. Place a standard trash bag (approximately 3-gallon capacity) into the trash can base.
3. Fold the top edge of the trash bag over the liner ring. Ensure the bag is securely held by the ring.
4. Insert the liner ring with the trash bag back into the trash can base. The liner ring helps to conceal the trash bag and keep it in place.

3. Attaching the Lid

Carefully place the motion sensor lid onto the trash can base, ensuring it sits securely.

Place the trash can in your desired location. Ensure there are no obstructions directly above the sensor that could trigger it unintentionally.

Bedienungsanleitung

1. Ein-/Ausschalten

Locate the power switch on the back of the lid. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to activate the motion sensor. Flip it to 'OFF' to deactivate the sensor and conserve battery life when not in use.

2. Funktionsweise des Bewegungssensors

• Once powered on, the infrared sensor is active.
• Wave your hand or an object within 10 inches (25 cm) above the sensor window.

• The lid will remain open for approximately 5 seconds, then close automatically.
• If an object remains within the sensor's range, the lid will stay open until the object is removed.

3. Manual Override (Stay Open Function)

While the lid is open, you can press the 'OPEN' button (if present on your model, typically near the sensor) to keep the lid open for longer periods. Press the 'CLOSE' button to close it manually, or it will close automatically after a set time if no 'OPEN' button is available and the sensor is clear.

Wartung

1. Cleaning the Trash Can

• Deckel: Wipe the lid with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the lid in water.
• Base: The stainless steel and plastic base can be cleaned with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots.
• Sensorfenster: Keep the sensor window clean and free of dust or debris to ensure optimal performance. Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe it.

2. Batteriewechsel

When the lid's operation becomes slow or inconsistent, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section.
