3.2. Anzeigeelemente

  • LN-Volumentage: Bandtage between Live and Neutral wires.
  • NE Voltage: Bandtage between Neutral and Earth wires.
  • Verdrahtungsstatusanzeigen: Visual icons indicating correct or incorrect wiring configurations (e.g., missing Earth, Live-Neutral reverse).
  • NCV Bar Graph: Indicates the strength of the non-contact voltage detection signal.
  • Batterieanzeige: Zeigt die verbleibende Akkulaufzeit an.

4. Einrichtung

4.1. Einlegen der Batterie

The BSIDE ZT-E8ER requires 2 x AAA 1.5V batteries for operation.

  1. Suchen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Rückseite des Geräts.
  2. Open the battery cover by sliding or unscrewing it (refer to Figure 2.1).
  3. Legen Sie zwei AAA-Batterien mit 1.5 V ein und achten Sie dabei auf die richtige Polarität (+/-).
  4. Schließen Sie die Batterieabdeckung fest.

The device will power on automatically when plugged into a live socket or when the power button is pressed for NCV function.

5. Bedienungsanleitung

5.1. Socket Wiring Test

This function checks the wiring status of a standard AC power outlet.

  1. Plug the BSIDE ZT-E8ER directly into the power outlet you wish to test.
  2. The device will automatically power on and display the L-N and N-E voltage-Lesungen.
  3. Observe the wiring status indicators on the EBTN screen. The device provides 8 visual indications for various wiring conditions, such as:
    • RICHTIG: Zeigt korrekte Verkabelung an.
    • FALSCH: Zeigt einen Fehler an.
    • MISSING EARTH: Der Erdungsdraht ist nicht angeschlossen.
    • LIVE-EARTH REVERSE: Live and Earth wires are swapped.
    • LIVE-NEUTRAL REVERSE: Live and Neutral wires are swapped.
    • MISSING NEUTRAL: Der Neutralleiter ist nicht angeschlossen.
    • MISSING LIVE: Der stromführende Draht ist nicht angeschlossen.
    • LIVE-EARTH REVERSE & MISSING EARTH: A combination of faults.
  4. Refer to the on-screen icons for specific fault identification.

5.2. RCD (Residual Current Device) Test

The RCD test function verifies if the RCD (also known as GFCI in some regions) is functioning correctly by simulating a leakage current to trip the device. WARNING: This test will trip the RCD and cut power to the circuit. Ensure all connected devices are safely shut down before performing this test.

  1. Plug the BSIDE ZT-E8ER into an outlet protected by an RCD.
  2. Drücken Sie die "RCD TEST" button on the device. The button is labeled "RCD TEST" and has a symbol of a triangle with an exclamation mark.
  3. If the RCD is functioning correctly, it should trip (switch off) within milliseconds, cutting power to the outlet.
  4. If the RCD does not trip, it indicates a potential fault with the RCD itself or the wiring, and further investigation by a qualified electrician is recommended.
  5. After the test, reset the RCD at your circuit breaker panel to restore power.

5.3. Berührungsloses Volumentage (NCV) Erkennung

The integrated NCV function allows for quick detection of live voltage without direct contact, useful for identifying live wires or checking for voltage presence before plugging in the tester.

  1. Hold the device near the wire, cable, or outlet you want to test for voltage. The NCV sensor is typically located at the top of the device.
  2. Halten Sie die ">>2S POWER" button to activate the NCV function.
  3. The NCV bar graph on the screen will illuminate and increase in segments, and an audible beep will sound, indicating the presence and strength of the AC voltage. More segments and faster beeps indicate stronger voltage.
  4. Release the button to deactivate NCV mode.
