This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Gardena Micro-Drip-System Starter Kit (Model 13016-20). It features individually adjustable, pressure-compensating drippers and Gardena's Quick & Easy connection technology for flexible setup.

4. Einrichtung

The Quick & Easy connection technology allows for flexible and straightforward installation.

  1. Planen Sie Ihr Layout: Determine the optimal path for the supply and distribution pipes to reach all plants requiring irrigation. Consider the spacing of your plants and their individual water needs.
  2. Anschluss an die Wasserquelle: Attach the main supply pipe to your water tap. It is recommended to use a pressure reducer if your tap pressure is high to protect the system.
  3. Lay the Supply Pipe: Run the main supply pipe along the edge of your bed or patch. Secure it to the ground using the provided pipe pegs at regular intervals.
  4. Attach Distribution Pipes: Use the Quick & Easy connectors to branch off smaller distribution pipes from the main supply pipe towards individual plants or rows.
  5. Install Drippers: Insert the pressure-compensating drippers into the distribution pipes near the base of each plant. The mounting tool will help create clean holes and secure connections.

  7. Testen Sie das System: Slowly turn on the water supply and check for any leaks. Adjust connections as needed.

  • Automatische Steuerung (optional): For fully automated watering, the system can be connected to a Gardena Water Computer (sold separately). This allows you to set watering times and durations.

6. Wartung

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your Micro-Drip-System.

  • Self-Cleaning Pipes: The supply and distribution pipes feature internal labyrinth technology designed to prevent clogging from sediment.
  • Dripper Cleaning: Periodically check drippers for any blockages. If a dripper appears clogged, it can often be cleaned by gently flushing it or by removing and rinsing it under running water.
  • Systemspülung: At the end of the watering season or if you notice reduced flow, remove the end caps and flush the entire system with water to clear any accumulated debris.
  • Winterlager: Before the first frost, drain all water from the system to prevent freezing damage. Disconnect the system from the water source and store components in a dry, frost-free location.
