4. Einrichtung

4.1. Einlegen der Batterie

The Dario Blood Pressure Monitor Gen2 operates on 4 AAA batteries, which are included. To install the batteries:

1. Suchen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Rückseite des Monitors.

5. Bedienungsanleitung

5.1. Vorbereitung der Messung

For accurate readings, follow these guidelines before taking a measurement:

• Avoid showering, exercising, smoking, and consuming caffeine for at least 30 minutes before testing.
• Rest quietly for 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
• Do not talk during the measurement process.
• Sit upright in a chair with your back supported and your feet flat on the floor.
• Ensure your arm is supported so that your elbow is approximately at heart level.

5.2. Anlegen der Armmanschette

The adjustable arm cuff (8.75-16.5 inches) is designed for comfortable and accurate fit. Follow these steps:

1. Schritt 1: Put on the cuff with your palm facing up. The cuff should be 0.8 - 1.2 inches (2-3 cm) above the elbow joint.
2. Schritt 2: Wrap the end of the cuff over your arm to secure it in place. Do not make it too tight.
3. Schritt 3: Place your arm on a table with your palm facing up.
4. Schritt 4: Make sure the cuff is at the same height as your heart.

5.3. Durchführen einer Messung

Once the cuff is correctly applied and you are in the proper position:

1. Drücken Sie die START STOP Taste auf dem Monitor.
2. The cuff will automatically inflate. Remain still and silent during inflation and measurement.
3. Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate, and your systolic blood pressure (SYS), diastolic blood pressure (DIA), and pulse rate (PUL) will be displayed on the LCD screen.
4. The monitor will automatically save the reading.

The display features a color-coded indicator on the right side, which visually represents your blood pressure level according to standard guidelines:

• Rot: Hypertensive Krise
• Orange: High BP 2
• Gelb: High BP 1
• Hellgrün: Prähypertonie
• Grün: Normal

5.4. Irregular Heartbeat (IHB) Detection

The Dario Blood Pressure Monitor Gen2 is equipped with an Irregular Heartbeat (IHB) detection feature. If an irregular heartbeat is detected during the measurement, a corresponding symbol will appear on the display. This device does not replace a cardiac examination but serves to detect pulse irregularities at an early stage. If this symbol appears frequently, consult your physician.

6. Smart Features and App Connectivity

6.1. Bluetooth Connectivity and Dario App

The monitor features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to synchronize your readings with the Dario App on your smartphone or tablet. This enables comprehensive tracking and management of your blood pressure data.

1. Download the Dario App from your device's app store.
2. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your Dario Blood Pressure Monitor Gen2 via Bluetooth.
3. Ensure your phone is nearby when taking a measurement for automatic data transmission. If not, the readings will transfer the next time the device connects to the app.

6.2. Datenmanagement und Datenaustausch

• Unlimited Readings: The Dario App allows for unlimited storage of your blood pressure readings, providing a comprehensive history.

6.3. Dual-User-Modus

The device supports a Dual User Mode, allowing two individuals to store their measurements separately on the device itself. The app, however, is typically linked to a single user account for personalized tracking.

• To switch between users on the device, press the 'M' button (Memory button) and then the arrow keys to select User 1 or User 2.
• Each user's readings will be stored independently, up to 400 records per user.

8. Wartung

8.1. Reinigung

• Reinigen Sie Monitor und Manschette mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch.

• Keep the monitor in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity.

8.3. Batteriewechsel

• Tauschen Sie alle vier AAA-Batterien aus, sobald die Anzeige für niedrigen Batteriestand erscheint.
