3. Einrichtung und Installation

3.1 Choosing Your Microphone

The WAYXIN R9 comes with two types of microphones to suit different helmet styles:

  • Hardcore (Boom) Microphone: Ideal für offene oder modulare Helme, bei denen das Mikrofon näher an den Mund heranreichen muss.
  • Button (Soft Wire) Microphone: Geeignet für Integralhelme, bei denen das Mikrofon diskret im Helm in der Nähe des Mundbereichs platziert werden kann.

Select the microphone that best fits your helmet type and attach it to the R9 host unit.

3.2 Mounting the R9 Unit

The R9 unit can be mounted using either Velcro or the metal splint method:

  • Velcro Method: Attach the adhesive Velcro pad to the side of your helmet and the corresponding Velcro on the R9 unit. Press firmly to secure.
  • Metal Splint Method: Slide the metal splint between the helmet shell and the inner padding. Secure the R9 unit to the splint using the provided screws and Allen wrench. Ensure it is firmly attached to prevent movement during riding.

Position the unit on the side of your helmet where it is easily accessible for controls but does not obstruct your vision or movement.

4. Bedienungsanleitung

4.1 Ein-/Ausschalten

  • Einschalten: Press and hold the Power button (usually the central large button) until the indicator light illuminates and you hear a voice prompt.
  • Ausschalten: Press and hold the Power button again until the indicator light turns off and you hear a voice prompt.

4.2 Intercom-Kopplung (bis zu 6 Fahrer)

The R9 supports intercom communication for up to 6 riders within a 1500m range.

  1. Ensure both R9 units are powered off.
  2. Press and hold the Power button on both units simultaneously until they power on and enter pairing mode (indicated by flashing lights).
  3. Once paired, the lights will change, and you will hear a confirmation.
  4. To initiate intercom mode, press the 'B' button on either unit. The units will connect, allowing for two-way communication.
  5. To add more riders (up to 6), repeat the pairing process with additional R9 units.

4.3 Telefon Pairing

To connect your R9 headset to your mobile phone:

  1. Ensure the R9 unit is powered on and in pairing mode (flashing blue/red light). If not, press and hold the Power button until it enters pairing mode.
