Safety Warning: Always disconnect power to your range or cooktop by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker before attempting any repairs or installation.

Tools required for installation typically include a wire stripper, a flat-head screwdriver, and a Phillips-head screwdriver. A heat gun or lighter may be used for the heat shrink insulators.

Vorbereitung:

  1. Ensure the appliance is completely disconnected from power.
  2. Carefully remove the surface burner element from the cooktop.
  3. Inspect the old terminal block and element for any signs of corrosion, arcing, or discoloration.
  4. Clean the stove area around the burner opening to prevent future issues.

  1. Step 1: Remove Old Receptacle. Turn the shell of the old receptacle down into its clasp to detach it from the cooktop. Disconnect the old wires.
  2. Step 2: Connect New Receptacle. Attach the new receptacle block to your wiring harness using the provided high-temperature wire leads and ceramic wire nuts. Ensure connections are secure.
  3. Step 3: Apply Heat Shrink. Place the heat shrink tubes over each of your wire connections. Apply heat with a heat gun or lighter until the tubes shrink tightly around the connections, providing insulation.
  4. Step 4: Install Receptacle. After securing and insulating the wiring, install the new receptacle onto the cooktop using the appropriate metal bracket. Ensure it is firmly seated.

After installation, carefully re-install the burner element and restore power to the appliance. Test the burner for proper function.

5. Fehlerbehebung

If your range burner is not heating at all, or not heating properly, it is likely an issue with the terminal block (receptacle). The 330031 kit is designed to address these common symptoms:

  • No heat from the burner element.
  • Uneven heating across the burner element.
  • Lack of sufficient heat output.
  • Corroded or arcing end connections on the old receptacle.

If you experience these issues, replacing the burner receptacle with the 330031 kit is a common solution.
