Einrichtung und Montage

The eSkde strimmer requires some assembly before first use. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Auspacken und prüfen: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any damage or missing parts. Refer to Figure 1 for a complete overview.
2. Montieren Sie die Welle: Connect the two sections of the shaft if they are separate. Ensure they click securely into place.
3. Griffe anbringen: Secure the bull horn handles to the main shaft using the provided clamps and bolts. Adjust their position for comfortable operation.
4. Mount Engine Unit: Attach the engine unit to the upper part of the shaft, ensuring all connections are firm.
5. Schutz installieren: Secure the safety guard over the cutting head area. This guard is crucial for protecting the operator from debris.
6. Choose Cutting Attachment:
   • For Nylon Strimmer Head: Attach the nylon head (Figure 4) to the gearbox spindle. Ensure it is tightened securely.
   • Für Freischneiderklinge: Attach the metal blade (Figure 3) to the gearbox spindle. Use the provided washers and nut, ensuring the blade is oriented correctly and tightened firmly. Always use the appropriate blade guard when using the metal blade.
7. Gurtzeug anbringen: Connect the double shoulder harness (Figure 2) to the designated attachment point on the shaft. Adjust the harness straps to ensure the unit is balanced and comfortable when worn, allowing for easy control.

Fueling and Starting

This strimmer uses a 2-stroke petrol engine. Proper fuel mixture is critical for engine longevity.

Kraftstoffgemisch:

Mix unleaded petrol with high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 25:1 (Petrol:Oil). Use the provided mixing bottle for accurate measurement. Shake the mixture thoroughly before pouring into the fuel tank.

Startvorgang:

1. Fill the fuel tank with the correct petrol/oil mixture (Figure 7). Securely close the fuel cap.

3. Set the choke lever to the "CLOSED" (start) position.

5. Pull the starter cord firmly and smoothly until the engine fires (usually 1-3 pulls). Do not pull the cord to its full extension.

Using the Nylon Strimmer Head:

• Ideal for trimming grass, edging lawns, and light vegetation.
• Hold the strimmer with both hands, using the bull horn handles for control.
• Maintain a steady throttle. Move the cutting head in a sweeping motion, parallel to the ground.
• To advance the nylon line, tap the strimmer head gently on the ground while the engine is running at full throttle.

Using the Brush Cutter Blade:

• Suitable for cutting thick weeds, brambles, and small woody growth.
• Ensure the metal blade (Figure 3) is securely attached and the correct blade guard is in place.
• Approach the material to be cut slowly and deliberately. Avoid striking hard objects.
• Use a controlled, sweeping motion. Be aware of kickback, especially when cutting thicker material.

Abstellen des Motors:

Release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to idle down. Press the engine stop switch to turn off the engine. Wait for all moving parts to come to a complete stop before setting the unit down.

Wartung

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your strimmer.

• Reinigung: After each use, clean the exterior of the unit, especially the cutting head and engine cooling fins, to prevent debris buildup. Use a damp cloth; avoid using high-pressure water.
• Luftfilter: Check and clean the air filter regularly (every 5-10 hours of operation, or more frequently in dusty conditions). A dirty air filter can reduce engine performance.
• Zündkerze: Inspect the spark plug periodically. Clean or replace if it is fouled or worn. Refer to the engine specifications for the correct spark plug type and gap.
• Cutting Attachments:
  • Nylon Head: Replace the nylon line when it becomes too short. Ensure the correct diameter line is used.
  • Freischneiderklinge: Inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace as needed. A dull or damaged blade can cause excessive vibration and reduce cutting efficiency.
• Kraftstoffsystem: For long-term storage (over 30 days), drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel. This prevents fuel degradation and gumming.
• Schmierung: Consult the manual for specific lubrication points, typically the gearbox at the cutting head.
