Einschalten des Geräts

The Kaito KA339W offers four ways to power the unit:

  • Handkurbel: Rotate the hand crank clockwise or counter-clockwise for approximately 3-5 minutes to generate power for basic operation or to charge the internal battery. A charging indicator light may illuminate.

  • AA-Batterien: Open the battery compartment and insert 3 AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings. This provides an alternative power source when the internal battery is depleted.

Note: For optimal performance, it is recommended to fully charge the internal battery via USB before first use.

Bedienungsanleitung

Funkbetrieb (AM/FM/NOAA)

  1. Einschalten: Rotate the Volume Control knob clockwise until you hear a click and the radio turns on.
  2. Band auswählen: Use the Band Selector switch to choose between AM, FM, or NOAA.
  3. Antenne ausfahren: For best reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna, especially for FM and NOAA bands. For AM, try rotating the unit for better signal.
  4. Tune-Sender: Rotate the Tuning Dial to find your desired station. The tuning indicator may light up when a strong signal is received.
  5. Lautstärke anpassen: Use the Volume Control knob to set the desired listening level.
  6. NOAA-Wetterwarnungen: In NOAA mode, the radio will scan for active weather alerts. It is designed to receive all 7 NOAA weather channels.

Laternenbetrieb

  • Locate the LED Light Switch.
  • Slide the switch to the "LAMP" position to turn on the side LED lantern panel.
  • Slide the switch back to "OFF" to turn off the lantern.

Taschenlampenbetrieb

  • Locate the LED Light Switch.
  • Slide the switch to the "LED LIGHT" position to turn on the front-facing LED flashlight.
  • Slide the switch back to "OFF" to turn off the flashlight.

Siren Operation

  • Locate the Siren Switch.
  • Slide the switch to the "SIREN" position to activate the emergency siren.
  • Slide the switch back to "OFF" to deactivate the siren.
  • Caution: The siren is loud. Use only in emergency situations.

Charging External Devices (USB Out)

  • Ensure the internal battery of the KA339W is sufficiently charged.
  • Connect your external device's USB charging cable to the USB Output Port on the KA339W.
  • The KA339W will begin charging your device. Charging speed may vary.
  • Note: This feature is intended for emergency charging of small devices like mobile phones. It may not fully charge larger devices.

Wartung

  • LED Light Switch is not in the correct position.
