Most AZ pH meters require immersion in standard buffer solutions (pH 4.0, 7.0, or 10.0). Press the CAL button to enter calibration mode, insert the probe into the buffer, and wait for the reading to stabilize and lock.
If the probe has been stored dry, re-hydrate the sensing tip in distilled water for about 2 hours. Ensure the sensing surface is clean and free of scratches or biofilm.
Some AZ data loggers have a hardware reset pinhole on the rear side. Use a small tool to press the button inside the pinhole to reset the device to default settings.
'Err' usually indicates a calibration error (wrong buffer solution or damaged probe) or a value out of the measurable range. Check the sensor connection and ensure you are using correct standards.
