2. Einrichtung

2.1 Installation

The IMILAB EC5 Floodlight Camera offers versatile installation options. It can be mounted on walls, ceilings, or columns.

Wandmontage

1. Attach the wall mounting positioning sticker to the desired installation location on a wall.
2. Drill two holes at the marked positions. The recommended drilling diameter is approximately 6.0 mm, and the drilling depth is around 30 mm.
3. Insert two plastic expansion nuts into the drilled holes.
4. Place the camera's base plate over the holes and secure it by inserting screws into the expansion nuts.

Deckenmontage

1. Attach the ceiling mounting positioning sticker to the desired installation location on the ceiling.
2. Drill two holes at the marked positions. The recommended drilling diameter is approximately 6.0 mm, and the drilling depth is around 30 mm.
3. Insert two plastic expansion nuts into the drilled holes.
4. Place the camera's base plate over the holes and secure it by inserting screws into the expansion nuts.

Mastmontage

For pole mounting, use appropriate straps or clamps (not included) to secure the camera's bracket to the pole, ensuring a stable and secure fit.

2.2 Anschließen des Geräts

Insert the power supply cable into the camera's power supply port. Connect the other end of the power supply cable to a power source. The camera will power on automatically.

Legen Sie die Micro SD-Karte ein

To enable local storage, insert a Micro SD card:

1. Ensure the camera is disconnected from the power supply.
2. Use a screwdriver to remove the protective case and expose the Micro SD card slot.
3. The contact points of the Micro SD card should be facing down. Insert the Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place.

Notiz: When inserting or removing the Micro SD card, always disconnect the camera from the power supply. Use a Micro SD card from a reputable manufacturer (up to 256GB). The recommended read and write speed is at least U1/Class 10.

2.3 Verbindung zur Mi Home App herstellen

The IMILAB EC5 Floodlight Camera works with the Mi Home app for control and monitoring.

1. Laden Sie die Mi Home App herunter: Scan the QR code below or search for "Mi Home" in your app store to download and install the app.

To restore the camera to its factory settings, press and hold the reset button. The content stored on the Micro SD card will not be deleted during this process.

3.1 360° Surveillance

The EC5 camera provides extensive coverage with its 360° pan and tilt capabilities. It can automatically detect and track human movement within its monitoring area.

3.2 2K Live View & Zwei-Wege-Audio

Access clear 2K footage of your property in real-time through the Mi Home app. The built-in microphone and speaker allow for two-way audio communication, enabling you to talk to visitors or deter intruders.

3.3-Zoll-Vollfarb-Nachtsicht

The camera's light sensor automatically switches to night vision mode using IR-CUT based on ambient light conditions. The powerful built-in exposure light provides vivid, full-color images even in complete darkness.

3.4 Auto Deterrence

The EC5 automatically deters potential threats. When motion is detected, the camera can trigger a siren or flash its floodlights to warn intruders. These features are built-in and do not require a paid subscription.

3.5 App Connection and Remote Control

Stay connected and in control from anywhere. The Mi Home app allows you to receive instant notifications, remotely pan or tilt the camera for different viewing angles, and set custom motion zones to focus on specific areas.

3.6 Motion Zone

Customize specific motion zones within the camera's field of view to prevent false alerts triggered by irrelevant movements, such as pedestrians outside your property.

3.7 Videowiedergabe und -speicherung

Past videos can be viewed when a compatible Micro SD card is inserted into the camera. After inserting a Micro SD card and powering on the device, the camera will automatically start recording 24/7 footage.

In the control interface for the IMILAB EC5 Floodlight Camera in the Mi Home app, tap the playback button to enter the video playback page. You can also view recordings by selecting a specific time period.

The camera supports local footage storage on a Micro SD card (up to 256GB, not included) without monthly fees. Optional cloud storage is also available for motion-triggered event clips. New users receive 90 days of free, 7-day rolling cloud storage for motion-triggered event clips.

3.8 Sharing a Video

Within the Mi Home app, you can set the device as a shared device in the settings menu. This allows you to invite others to view the recordings. Users must download the Mi Home app and log in to their Xiaomi account to access the shared device's recordings.

3.9 Home Security

The Home Security function can be enabled or disabled in the Mi Home app. This feature allows the device to detect and record movements within its viewing angle and send the recordings to your client device. You can customize surveillance time, alert sensitivity, and alert intervals.
