1. Einleitung

The EZAIOT Smart Radiator Thermostatic Valve (TRV) is designed to provide intelligent control over your home heating system. With Wi-Fi connectivity, it allows for remote temperature management via the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app, and integrates seamlessly with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This device offers visible energy savings through its intelligent PID algorithm, long battery life, and wide compatibility with various radiator valves.

4.1. Einlegen der Batterie

1. Press the battery compartment lock and push the cover downwards to remove it.
2. Insert 3 new 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Setzen Sie die Batteriefachabdeckung wieder auf und verriegeln Sie sie.

4.2. Installation des Adapters

If your radiator valve is not M30 x 1.5mm, you will need to install one of the provided adapters. The adapter set includes options for Danfoss RA, Danfoss RAV, Danfoss RAVL, Caleffi, Giacomini, and M28 valves.

4.3. Radiator Thermostat Installation

1. Screw the radiator thermostat onto the valve. Ensure it is securely fastened.
2. The display will show "INS..." indicating the motor is still travelling back.
3. Once "INS..." disappears, the radiator thermostat is properly screwed on.
4. You can adjust the angle of the TRV to ensure the OLED display faces the viewäh richtig.

4.4. Software Installation (Smart Life App)

1. Download the Smart Life App: Scan the QR code below or search "Smart Life" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

2. Register or Log in: Enter the app, tap "Register" to create an account, or "Log in" if you already have one.

4.5. Device Pairing (Network Configuration)

Wichtig: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled. Network configuration can only be done under manual mode.

1. In manual mode, turn the knob counterclockwise until the screen displays "OFF".
2. Press and hold the middle button for 3 seconds until the Wi-Fi icon starts blinking.
3. Open the Smart Life App, go to the "Home" interface, and click "+" in the upper right corner.
4. Select "Add Device". The system will automatically search for and find the device.
5. Click "Add" when the device is found.
6. Select your 2.4G Wi-Fi network and enter the password, then click "Next".
7. Wait for the device to be added successfully. Once complete, click "Done".

5. Bedienungsanleitung

5.1. Gerät überview

The TRV features an OLED display and control buttons:

• Mittlerer Knopf: Wird zum Umschalten des Modus und zum Koppeln verwendet.
• Knopf: Used to adjust temperature and navigate menus.
• Anzeigesymbole: Clock, Wake up, Leave (am), Return (pm), Sleep, Auto mode, Manual mode, Sensing temperature, Heating, Network configuration icon, Setpoint temperature, Child lock, Valve opening, Low battery.

5.2. Temperatureinstellung

Turn the knob to set the desired temperature in 0.5°C increments.

5.3. Temperaturregelungsmodi

Press the "Middle button" shortly to switch between modes.

• Manueller Modus (M): The temperature is controlled according to the current temperature set via the knob. It remains active until manually changed again. This is the only mode available before network configuration.
• Automatikmodus (A): The temperature is controlled according to the set smart schedule.
• EIN-Modus: Turn the knob clockwise until "ON" displays. The valve will be fully opened. Useful for maximizing heat.
• OFF Mode / Frost-protection Mode: Turn the knob counter-clockwise until "OFF" displays. The valve will be fully closed. Frost protection is activated, opening the valve if room temperature drops below 5°C and closing it above 7°C to prevent freezing.

5.4. Wöchentliches Programm

The device supports 7-day scheduling with up to 4 time periods per day. You can customize daily room temperatures via the Smart Life app to match your lifestyle.

1. In the app, tap the schedule icon to edit the heating schedule.
2. Click on a heating event to modify its settings.
3. Click "Confirm" to save the heating schedule.

5.5. Flexible Screen Orientation

The display can be adjusted in 4 directions for easy readability from any installation angle. Press and hold the Set button for 3 seconds to change the screen orientation.

5.6. Kindersicherung

To prevent accidental changes to settings, activate the child lock. Press and hold the "Middle button" for 3 seconds. The child lock icon will appear/disappear on the screen.

5.7. Fensteröffnungserkennung

If the device detects a temperature drop of more than 1.5°C within 5 minutes, it activates window opening detection and stops heating. The screen will display a window icon. The valve remains closed for 30 minutes. This function can be cancelled by setting a new temperature, changing the mode, or if the temperature rises by more than 1.5°C within 4.5 minutes.

5.8. Schutz vor Verkalkung

To prevent valve calcification, the device automatically runs for a period every Monday at 12:00 AM. During this time, "CAL" will be displayed on the screen.

5.9. Sprachsteuerung

The TRV is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. After waking up your speaker, use commands such as:

• "Alexa, set the [DEVICENAME] to auto."
• "OK Google, set the [DEVICENAME] to 26 degrees."
• "Alexa, what is the temperature of [DEVICENAME]?"
• "OK Google, increase [DEVICENAME] temperature."

Notiz: Replace [DEVICENAME] with the name you assigned to your TRV. Ensure the temperature unit on the TRV and smart speaker are identical.

6. Wartung

6.1. Batteriewechsel

When the low battery symbol appears on the display, replace the batteries within 1 week to ensure continuous operation. Refer to section 4.1 for battery installation instructions.

6.2. Wiederherstellen der Werkseinstellungen

To restore the device to its factory settings, press and hold the "Middle button" and insert the batteries at the same time. Hold until "FAC" is displayed on the screen and blinks for 3 seconds. The device will then restart. Be aware that restoring factory settings will erase all previous configurations.
