3. Aufbau und Montage

3.1 Einlegen der Batterie

The DGA504 operates with an 18V lithium-ion battery (not included with bare tool). Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.

  1. Richten Sie den Akku an dem Akkufach des Werkzeugs aus.
  2. Slide the battery pack into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely latched.
  3. Zum Entnehmen drücken Sie den Entriegelungsknopf am Akku und schieben ihn heraus.

3.2 Side Handle Attachment

The side handle can be attached to either side of the gear housing for optimal control and comfort, depending on the application and user preference.

  1. Screw the side handle clockwise into one of the threaded holes on the gear housing until it is firmly secured.

3.3 Disc Guard Adjustment

The disc guard protects against sparks and debris. Ensure it is correctly positioned for the task.

  1. Loosen the screw or lever on the disc guard.
  2. Drehen Sie den Schutz in die gewünschte Position, um Funken von sich wegzulenken.
  3. Tighten the screw or lever firmly to secure the guard.

3.4 Grinding/Cutting Disc Installation

Always use the correct type and size of disc for your application. Refer to the disc manufacturer's instructions for proper use.

  1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Batterie entfernt ist.

  5. Thread the outer flange onto the spindle and tighten it firmly using the lock nut wrench.
  6. Lassen Sie den Spindelsperrknopf los.

4. Bedienungsanleitung

4.1 Ein-/Ausschalten

The DGA504 features a mid-mounted two-stage safety switch for safe operation.

  1. To start the tool, slide the safety switch forward and then press the power trigger.
  2. To stop the tool, release the power trigger. The safety switch will automatically return to the locked position.

4.3 Wärmeableitung

5. Wartung

Regelmäßige Wartung gewährleistet optimale Leistung und verlängert die Lebensdauer Ihres Werkzeugs. Entfernen Sie vor jeglichen Wartungsarbeiten immer den Akku.

5.1 Reinigung

  • Clean the tool's ventilation openings regularly to prevent dust buildup, which can lead to overheating.
  • Wischen Sie den Werkzeugkörper mit einem weichen, fusselfreien Tuch ab.amp Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine scharfen Chemikalien oder Scheuermittel.

5.2 Disc Guard Inspection

The disc guard is made of thickened metal material for durability. Regularly inspect it for any signs of damage, cracks, or deformation. Replace if necessary to ensure user safety.

5.3 Batteriepflege

  • Batterien sollten an einem kühlen, trockenen Ort, fern von direkter Sonneneinstrahlung und Hitze, aufbewahrt werden.
  • Vollständig entladene Batterien sollten nicht über längere Zeiträume gelagert werden.
  • Use only Makita-approved chargers for your 18V lithium-ion batteries.

5.4 Bürstenloser Motor

The brushless motor requires less maintenance compared to brushed motors as there are no carbon brushes to replace. However, ensure the tool is kept clean and free from excessive dust and debris to maintain optimal performance.
