1. Einleitung

The SHIMANG Dual Monitor KVM Switch and Docking Station is designed to enhance your productivity by allowing two computers (a USB-C laptop and a desktop PC) to share two monitors and multiple peripherals. It supports high-resolution video output up to 4K@120Hz and provides fast data transfer and power delivery capabilities.

2. Packungsinhalt

Bitte prüfen Sie das Paket auf folgende Artikel:

• SHIMANG Dual Monitor KVM Switch and Docking Station (SW522P or SW523P)
• USB-A-auf-A-Kabel
• USB-C-Kabel
• Desktop Control (External Switch Button)
• DC20V Power Adapter (EU Power Adapter by default; US/AU/UK available upon request)

3. Einrichtungsanweisungen

Befolgen Sie diese Schritte, um Ihren KVM-Switch anzuschließen:

1. Strom anschließen: Plug the DC20V Power Adapter into the KVM switch's DC20V port and then into a power outlet.
2. Monitore anschließen:
   • For Model SW522P: Connect your two monitors to the KVM switch's HDMI OUT and DP OUT ports using appropriate cables.
   • For Model SW523P: Connect your two monitors to the KVM switch's two DP OUT ports using appropriate cables.
3. PC1 (USB-C-Laptop) anschließen:
   • Connect the provided USB-C cable from your laptop's Thunderbolt 3/4/5 port (full-function port supporting DP Alt Mode, Charging, and Data Transfer Protocol) to the KVM switch's PC1 IN (USB-C) port. This connection handles video, data, and power delivery.
   • Wichtig: The laptop's USB-C port must support video output.
4. Connect PC2 (Desktop Computer):
   • Connect the provided USB-A to A cable from your desktop PC's USB-A port to the KVM switch's PC2 IN (USB-B) port.
   • For Model SW522P: Connect your desktop PC's HDMI output to the KVM switch's PC2 IN (HDMI A) port and its DisplayPort output to the KVM switch's PC2 IN (DP B) port.
   • For Model SW523P: Connect your desktop PC's two DisplayPort outputs to the KVM switch's PC2 IN (DP A) and PC2 IN (DP B) ports.
   • Wichtig: The desktop computer must have the corresponding HDMI and/or DisplayPort outputs.
5. Peripheriegeräte anschließen: Connect your keyboard, mouse, flash drives, SD/MicroSD cards, and other USB devices to the available USB-A (USB 3.0, USB 3.2) and USB-C (Data) ports on the KVM switch.
6. Anschluss einer externen Steuerung (optional): Plug the Desktop Control cable into the 'Control' port on the KVM switch for convenient remote switching.

4. Bedienungsanleitung

Sobald alle Verbindungen hergestellt sind, können Sie Ihren KVM-Switch verwenden:

• Wechseln zwischen PCs:
  • Knopfschalter: Press the 'Select' button on the KVM device to toggle between PC1 and PC2.
  • Externe Kontrolle: Use the included Desktop Control button to switch between PC1 and PC2 remotely.

• Anzeigemodi:
  • Windows: Supports both MST (Multi-Stream Transport) and SST (Single-Stream Transport) modes, allowing for extended displays (AAA/ABB/ABC configurations) or mirrored displays. Ensure your computer supports MST for extended functionality.
  • macOS: Due to system limitations, macOS only supports 'Clone' and 'Mirror' modes (AAA/ABB configurations). Extended display (MST) is not supported.

• Datenübertragung: The KVM switch provides high-speed USB 3.0 (5Gbps), USB 3.2 (10Gbps), and USB-C (10Gbps) ports, along with SD/MicroSD card slots, for convenient data transfer between your connected devices and the active PC.
• PD-Schnellladung: The USB-C port for PC1 (laptop) supports up to 100W Power Delivery to charge your laptop while in use.

5. Wartung

• Bewahren Sie das Gerät in einer trockenen Umgebung auf, fern von Feuchtigkeit und extremen Temperaturen.
• Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine flüssigen Reiniger oder Sprays.
• Vermeiden Sie es, die Lüftungsöffnungen zu blockieren, um eine Überhitzung zu vermeiden.
• Versuchen Sie nicht, das Gerät selbst zu zerlegen oder zu reparieren. Wenden Sie sich an qualifiziertes Servicepersonal.

6. Fehlerbehebung

• Keine Videoausgabe:
  • Ensure the USB-C port on your laptop (PC1) supports video output (DP Alt Mode).
  • Verify that your desktop PC (PC2) has the necessary HDMI and/or DisplayPort outputs connected to the KVM switch.
  • Check that your monitors and video cables support the desired resolutions (e.g., 4K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz).
  • Vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Kabel fest angeschlossen sind.
• Ladeprobleme:
  • While the KVM switch supports 100W PD, actual charging speed may vary due to cable quality, laptop requirements, and other factors.
  • Ensure the KVM switch is powered by the DC20V adapter.

  • USB-C ports labeled "Data" on the KVM switch are for data transfer only and do not support Power Delivery (PD) or video transmission.
