- Unfold the Transport Chair: Place the folded chair on a flat, stable surface. Grasp the seat fabric and pull upwards firmly until the chair fully extends and locks into place. Push down on the seat rails to ensure the chair is fully open and stable.
- Fußstützen anbringen: Align the footrest posts with the receiving tubes on the front of the chair frame. Push down until they click securely into place. Adjust the height of the footplates by pressing the adjustment pins and sliding the footplate assembly up or down to the desired position. Ensure both footrests are at the same height.
- Adjust Anti-Tippers: The anti-tippers are located at the rear of the chair. Ensure they are in the down position for maximum stability during use. They can be flipped up and out of the way when not needed, such as for folding.

- User Transfer: For easier transfer from a car, bed, or chair, the padded desk arms can be flipped up or removed entirely. This allows the user to scoot or transfer directly into the seat.
- Locking Hand Brakes: The companion can control the chair's speed and park the brakes using the patented locking hand brakes located on the push handles. Squeeze the levers to slow down or stop, and push them down to lock the brakes for parking. This is crucial for safety on inclines or uneven surfaces.
