- Überprüfen Sie das Vorhängeschloss: Before first use, visually inspect the padlock and keys for any signs of damage or manufacturing defects.
- Test the Keys: Insert one of the provided keys into the keyway. Turn the key clockwise to unlock the shackle. The shackle should spring open. Turn the key counter-clockwise and remove it to lock the shackle. Ensure the shackle clicks firmly into place when locked. Repeat this process a few times to ensure smooth operation.
- Store Spare Key: Keep the spare key in a safe, accessible location, separate from the primary key.
Bedienungsanleitung
Zum Entriegeln des Vorhängeschlosses:
- Stecken Sie den Schlüssel vollständig in das Schlüsselloch ein.
- Turn the key clockwise approximately a quarter turn (90 degrees).
- Pull the shackle upwards to open the padlock.
Zum Verriegeln des Vorhängeschlosses:
- Close the shackle by pushing it down into the padlock body.
- Ensure the shackle is fully seated and clicks into the locked position.
- Remove the key by turning it counter-clockwise and pulling it out. The padlock is now locked.
Wartung
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and smooth operation of your Master Lock padlock.
- Schmierung: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite-based lubricant or a silicone spray into the keyway and around the shackle entry points. This is especially important for outdoor use to prevent rust and ensure smooth key rotation. Avoid oil-based lubricants as they can attract dirt.
- Reinigung: Wipe the padlock body and shackle with a clean, dry cloth to remove dirt and debris. For stubborn grime, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by thorough drying.
- Rostschutz: The padlock features rustproofing. However, for prolonged outdoor exposure or in corrosive environments, consider applying a rust-inhibiting spray to the shackle and body periodically.
