4.2. Montage

The C1070V speaker is designed for in-ceiling installation. It has a product dimension of 3.15"D x 12"W x 12"H.

For typical assembly, follow these steps:

  1. Cut a round loudspeaker clearance hole of 11.5" (292mm) in the ceiling tile.
  2. If using a back box (sold separately), ensure it is compatible with the C1070V.
  3. Mounting holes are 11.25" (286mm) center to center, with 4 tapped holes.
  4. Insert the speaker into the cutout, ensuring it is securely fastened. For suspended ceilings, consider using metal frames (e.g., Bogen TB-8) for additional support, as the speaker may be too heavy for ceiling tiles alone.

4.3. Wiring (70V Connection)

The OSD Audio C1070V is designed for 70V constant voltage audio systems, allowing multiple speakers to be daisy-chained to a 70V powered amplifier. The speaker includes wattage taps via a front dial and rear indicator for easy setup.

Refer to the wiring color code for 70V/25V taps:

  • Schwarz: Common Ground 70V
  • Rot: 25V-5W
  • Gelb: 25V-2.5W
  • Grün: 25V-1.25W
  • Blau: 25V-0.63W / 70V-5W
  • Braun: 25V-0.32W / 70V-2.5W
  • Lila: 70V-1.25W
  • Weiß: 70V-0.63W
  • Grau: 70V-0.32W

For 8 Ohm Taps:

  • Rosa: Common Ground/8 ohm
  • Orange: 8 Ohm Positive

5. Bedienungsanleitung
