2.1 Komponenten

The meat grinder consists of several key parts:

3. Aufbau und Montage

Before first use, clean all removable parts thoroughly. Ensure the unit is unplugged from the power outlet during assembly.

  1. Platzierung: Place the motor housing on a stable, level, and dry countertop. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and operation.
  2. Schleifkopf anbringen: Insert the grinding head into the motor housing opening and secure it by turning the locking knob clockwise until tight.
  3. Assemble Grinding Components:
    • Insert the auger (worm) into the grinding head.
    • Setzen Sie das Schneidmesser auf die Schneckenwelle und achten Sie darauf, dass die scharfen Kanten nach außen zur Schleifscheibe zeigen.

    • Screw on the retaining ring clockwise until it is hand-tight. Do not overtighten.
  4. Attach Feeding Tray: Place the stainless steel feeding tray onto the top of the grinding head.
  5. Stromanschluss: Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet (220V).

4. Bedienungsanleitung

Always ensure the unit is properly assembled and plugged in before operation. Prepare your meat before starting the grinder.

4.1 Preparing Meat

  1. Place a suitable container under the grinding head to collect the ground meat.
  2. Switch the unit ON using the control switch.
  3. Place prepared meat into the feeding tray.

  5. Continue feeding meat until all desired quantity is ground.
  6. Once finished, switch the unit OFF and unplug it from the power outlet.

4.3 Using the Reverse Function

The reverse function is useful for clearing blockages or processing tougher, fattier meats that might get stuck.

  1. If the grinder jams or slows significantly, switch the unit OFF immediately.
  2. Switch the unit to the "REV" (Reverse) position. This will cause the auger to rotate in the opposite direction, pushing the meat back out.
  3. Once the blockage is cleared, switch the unit OFF, then back to the "ON" position to resume normal grinding.
  4. If the blockage persists, unplug the unit, disassemble the grinding head, and manually clear the obstruction.

4.4 Würstchen herstellen

To make sausages, replace the grinding plate and cutting blade with the appropriate sausage stuffing attachment.

  1. After grinding your meat, disassemble the grinding plate and cutting blade.
  2. Attach the desired sausage stuffing nozzle to the grinding head and secure it with the retaining ring.
  3. Bereiten Sie Ihre Wurst vorasing (natural or artificial) according to its instructions.
  4. Schieben Sie das casing onto the sausage nozzle, leaving a small overhang at the end.
  5. Switch the unit ON and feed the seasoned ground meat into the feeding tube.
  6. Leiten Sie den casing as it fills, ensuring even distribution and avoiding air pockets. Do not overfill.
  7. Sobald das casing is filled, switch the unit OFF, remove the sausage, and twist or tie it into links.

5. Reinigung und Wartung

Regular cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygienic operation of your Buffalo CD400 Meat Grinder. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

5.1 Reinigung

  1. Demontage: Unplug the unit. Disassemble the feeding tray, retaining ring, grinding plate, cutting blade, auger, and grinding head.
  2. Erstes Spülen: Rinse all removable parts under warm running water to remove large meat residues.
  3. Waschen: Wash all removable parts with warm, soapy water and a soft brush. Pay special attention to the holes in the grinding plates and the sharp edges of the blade.
  4. Motorgehäuse: Wischen Sie das Motorgehäuse mit ad abamp Tuch. Never immerse the motor housing in water or spray it directly with water.
  5. Trocknen: Thoroughly dry all parts immediately after washing to prevent rust, especially for the cutting blade and grinding plates. Air drying is not recommended for these parts.
  6. Schmierung: After drying, apply a thin layer of food-grade mineral oil to the cutting blade and grinding plates to protect them from corrosion.
  7. Zusammenbau: Reassemble the unit once all parts are dry and lubricated.

5.2 Speicherung

Store the meat grinder in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep all accessories together to prevent loss.
