This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation, setup, and maintenance of your Staples® SPL-P100 Printing Calculator. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the calculator to ensure proper function and longevity of the device.
The SPL-P100 is a 12-digit printing calculator designed for various business and personal calculations, featuring a clear LCD display and a fast print speed of up to 2.4 lines per second. Key functions include cost/sell/margin calculations, tax functions, and date/time display.

Aufstellen
1. Stromquelle
The SPL-P100 can be powered by either the included AC adapter or four AA batteries (not included).
- Wechselstromversorgung: Connect the AC adapter to the DC IN jack on the side of the calculator and plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- Batterieleistung: Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach an der Unterseite des Taschenrechners. Legen Sie vier AA-Batterien ein und achten Sie dabei auf die richtige Polarität (+/-). Schließen Sie das Fach fest.
2. Einlegen der Papierrolle
- Heben Sie den Papierrollenarm an der Rückseite des Taschenrechners an.
- Place a new paper roll onto the arm, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll.
- Führen Sie die Vorderkante des Papiers in den Druckereinzug ein, bis es oben wieder herauskommt.
- Pull approximately 2-3 inches of paper out and tear off any excess.

3. Grundeinstellungen (Datum und Uhrzeit)

Grundlegende Operationen
- Ein-/Ausschalten: Drücken Sie die ON C/CE button to turn the calculator on. Press and hold the ON C/CE Taste, um es auszuschalten.
- Freie Einfahrt: Drücken C/CE once to clear the last entry.
- Alles löschen: Drücken C/CE zweimal, um alle Einträge und den Speicher zu löschen.
- Addition/Subtraction/Multiplication/Division: Geben Sie Zahlen ein und verwenden Sie die +, -, x, ÷ keys as standard. Press = für das Ergebnis.

Sonderfunktionen
- Cost/Sell/Margin (CSM):
- Enter two values (e.g., Cost and Sell Price), then press the third key (KOSTEN, VERKAUFEN, oder MARGE) to calculate the missing value.
- Tax Keys (STEUER+, STEUER-, STEUERSATZ):
- Festlegung des Steuersatzes: Enter the tax rate (e.g., 5 for 5%), then press STEUERSATZ.
- Hinzurechnen mit Steuern: Enter amount, then press STEUER+.
- Steuer abziehen: Enter amount, then press STEUER-.
- Date and Time Function (ZEIT):
- Drücken ZEIT to display current date/time.

- Decimal Point Selector: Use the slide switch (usually on the side or top) to select the desired number of decimal places (F, 0, 2, 3, 4, 5/4).
- Rundungsauswahl (5/4): The 5/4 switch controls rounding up or down.
- Print/Non-Print (P/NP): Drücken P/NP to toggle between printing and non-printing modes.
- Speicherfunktionen (M+, M-, MRC):

Wartung
Reinigung
Wipe the calculator's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use harsh chemicals or immerse the calculator in water.
Papierrollenwechsel
When the paper roll runs out or the print becomes faint, replace it following the instructions in the "Installing the Paper Roll" section under Setup.
Batteriewechsel
If using battery power and the display becomes dim or the calculator stops functioning, replace all four AA batteries. Ensure the calculator is turned off and the AC adapter is disconnected before replacing batteries. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
