Auspacken und Inbetriebnahme

1. Carefully unpack your coffee maker and remove all packaging materials.
2. Wash the glass carafe, permanent filter, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are also dishwasher safe.

Bedienungsanleitung

Kaffee kochen

1. Wasserbehälter füllen: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water. Use the water level indicator on the side of the reservoir to measure the desired number of cups (up to 1.2L or 12 cups). Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
2. Kaffeesatz hinzufügen: Place the permanent filter into the filter basket. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the permanent filter. A general guideline is one tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, but adjust to your taste.

3. Position Karaffe: Ensure the glass carafe with its lid is correctly placed on the warming plate. The anti-drip system will not function if the carafe is not properly seated.

5. Anti-Tropf-System: The coffee maker features an anti-drip system, allowing you to temporarily remove the carafe during the brewing cycle to pour a cup of coffee. The brewing will pause and resume once the carafe is returned to its position. Do not remove the carafe for more than 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
6. Warmhaltefunktion: After the brewing cycle is complete, the warming plate will automatically keep the coffee hot for a period of time. The coffee maker will automatically shut off after a certain period for safety and energy saving.
7. Portion: Carefully remove the carafe from the warming plate to pour and serve coffee.

Entkalkung

Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting its performance and the taste of your coffee. Descale your coffee maker every 2-4 weeks, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.

1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). For example, 400ml vinegar and 800ml water for a 1.2L capacity.
2. Place the empty permanent filter and filter basket into position, and ensure the empty carafe is on the warming plate.
3. Turn on the coffee maker and let it complete half of a brewing cycle.
4. Turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for at least 15 minutes to allow the descaling solution to work.
