Aufstellen
1. Assembling the Tripod and Mount
Carefully unpack all components. Extend the legs of the aluminum tripod and secure them. Attach the horizon mount to the tripod. Ensure all connections are stable.

3. Attaching the Finder Scope
Locate the 8x21mm finder scope. Slide it into its bracket on the main telescope tube and tighten the retaining screws. The finder scope helps in locating objects before viewing them through the main eyepiece.
4. Inserting the Erecting Prism and Eyepiece
Insert the 45-degree erecting prism into the focuser of the telescope. This prism corrects the image orientation, making it right-side up for terrestrial viewing. Tighten the thumbscrew on the focuser to secure it. Then, insert either the K20mm or K9mm eyepiece into the erecting prism and tighten its thumbscrew.

5. Setting up the Universal Smartphone Digiscoping Adapter
The universal smartphone digiscoping adapter is designed to fit over the K9mm and K20mm eyepieces. Attach your smartphone to the adapter, ensuring the camera lens aligns with the adapter's opening. The adapter is compatible with most smartphones and phablets up to 3.75 inches wide, including dual-camera phones. Adjust the variable pitch screw for horizontal phone alignment.

Bedienung des Teleskops
1. Initial Adjustment and Target Acquisition
Before observing, loosen the azimuth and altitude knobs on the mount to allow the telescope to move freely. Use the finder scope to locate your desired target and center it in the finder scope's view. Once centered, look through the main eyepiece of the telescope.

2. Fokussieren
Slowly turn the focusing knob until your target appears crisp and clear. If you reach the end of the knob's travel without achieving focus, try turning it in the opposite direction. It's possible you turned too quickly past the focal point.
3. Using Fine Motion Controls
For tracking moving objects like the Moon or planets, use the fine motion controls after locking down the altitude and azimuth knobs. These controls allow for precise, subtle adjustments to keep your target in view.
4. Choosing the Right Eyepiece
Start with the K20mm eyepiece (higher focal length) for a wider field of view, which makes it easier to locate objects. Once your target is found and locked, you can switch to the K9mm eyepiece (lower focal length) for higher magnification and more detailed observation.
5. Terrestrial vs. Astronomical Viewing
The 45-degree erecting prism ensures that images are right-side up, making the telescope suitable for both terrestrial (land-based) and astronomical (sky-based) viewing. Without the erecting prism, images would appear inverted.
Wartung
Proper maintenance will prolong the life and performance of your telescope.
- Reinigung der Optik: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Avoid touching the lens surfaces with your fingers. For stubborn smudges, use a small amount of optical cleaning fluid on the cloth, not directly on the lens.
- Lagerung: Store the telescope in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Keep dust caps on the objective lens and eyepiece when not in use.
- Handhabung: Always handle the telescope and its components with care to avoid accidental drops or impacts.
Fehlerbehebung
Häufige Probleme und Lösungen:
- Verschwommenes Bild: Ensure the focusing knob is adjusted correctly. If viewing through a window, the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor air can cause blurriness; observe from outdoors.
- Schwierigkeiten beim Auffinden von Objekten: Make sure the finder scope is properly aligned with the main telescope. Practice locating objects during the day.
- Image Appears Upside Down: Ensure the 45-degree erecting prism is correctly installed in the focuser.
- Condensation on Optics: Sudden temperature changes can cause condensation. Allow the telescope to adjust to the outdoor temperature for at least 30 minutes before use.
- Vibrations Affecting View: Avoid setting up the telescope on unstable surfaces like wooden decks or busy boardwalks. Choose a solid, stable ground for observation.
- Poor Visibility at Night: Light pollution significantly reduces visibility. Seek out dark areas away from city lights for optimal stargazing. Avoid using flashlights, as they can hinder your eyes' adjustment to the dark.
