1. Charging the MEATER Probe

The MEATER probe is charged by placing it inside the bamboo charging block. The block is powered by a single AAA battery (included). Ensure the battery is correctly inserted and the probe makes proper contact for charging. The probe will automatically begin charging when placed in the block.

2. App-Installation

Download the free MEATER app from the Apple App Store (for iOS 12.2.0 and later) or Google Play Store (for Android 8.0 and later) on your smartphone or tablet.

3. Erstes Pairing

Open the MEATER app. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smart device. Remove the MEATER probe from its charging block. The app should automatically detect and connect to the probe. For optimal connectivity, initiate the connection while standing directly with the probe and your smart phone or tablet.

1. Sondenplatzierung

Insert the MEATER probe into the thickest part of the meat, ensuring the internal sensor (the tip) is fully embedded and the ambient sensor (the ceramic part) is exposed to the cooking environment. Avoid placing the probe directly against bone.

2. Using the Guided Cook System

The MEATER app features a Guided Cook System that simplifies the cooking process. Select your desired meat type and cut within the app. The system will recommend target temperatures for various doneness levels (e.g., rare, medium-rare, well-done). You can also set custom alerts and notifications based on temperature or time.

3. Monitoring Your Cook

Once the cook is set up, the app will display real-time internal and ambient temperatures. The Advanced Estimator Algorithm provides an estimated cooking and resting time, helping you plan your meal. The app will notify you when your food is ready to be removed from the heat and when it has finished resting.

4. Connectivity Suite

Monitor your cook from your phone or tablet over Bluetooth.
