2. Sicherheitshinweise

Please read and understand all safety instructions before installing or operating the Roth Basicline AM-6 Connection Module. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.

• Ensure the main power supply to the installation area is disconnected and locked out before performing any installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.

• The device is designed for indoor use only. Its protection type is IP20, meaning it is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but has no protection against water.
• Do not open the module housing unless specifically instructed for fuse replacement by a qualified technician.

3. Installationsanleitung

The Roth Basicline AM-6 module is designed for flexible mounting options, either on standard DIN rails or directly to a wall surface.

3.1 Montage

1. Ort auswählen: Choose a suitable, dry location within a distribution cabinet or on a wall. Ensure adequate ventilation around the module and easy access for wiring.
2. DIN-Schienenmontage: If using a DIN rail, simply clip the module onto the rail until it securely locks into place.
3. Wandmontage: For direct wall mounting, use appropriate screws (not supplied) to secure the module through the designated mounting holes on its base.

3.2 Elektrische Anschlüsse

The module facilitates the connection of up to 6 Roth Basicline H 230 V or Basicline T room thermostats and a maximum of 16 Roth 230 V actuators. All connections utilize plug-in terminals for ease of installation.

1. Stromversorgung: Connect the 230 V ~ ± 10% power supply to the designated L (Live) and N (Neutral) terminals. The module includes an integrated T4A fine fuse for protection.
2. Thermostatanschlüsse: Connect each Roth Basicline thermostat to its respective input terminal (e.g., T1, T2, etc.) on the module. Follow the thermostat's wiring diagram for correct connections.
3. Aktuatoranschlüsse: Connect up to 16 Roth 230 V actuators to the output terminals. Each thermostat input typically controls multiple actuator outputs. Ensure correct polarity and secure connections for all actuators.
4. Pumpenleistung: The module features a dedicated pump output (PUMP L, PUMP N) for demand-controlled circulation pump operation. Connect your circulation pump to these terminals.

6. 24V Operation (Optional): For systems requiring 24 V operation, the Roth RT-2 transformer (Article No. 1135007679) is required. Connect the transformer according to its instructions, and then connect its 24V output to the module's designated 24V input terminals.

4. Bedienung

• Thermostatsteuerung: The connected thermostats continuously monitor room temperature and send signals to the module based on their setpoints and current readings.
• Aktuatorsteuerung: In response to thermostat signals, the module activates or deactivates the connected 230 V actuators. This action regulates the flow of heating or cooling medium to the respective zones.
• Pumpensteuerung: The integrated pump output ensures that the circulation pump activates only when there is an active demand for heating or cooling from any connected thermostat, optimizing energy consumption.
• Setback Function: If a compatible clock thermostat is connected to the setback input, the module will process the setback signal to automatically adjust temperatures to a lower (or higher) setting during predefined periods, such as nighttime or when the building is unoccupied.

5. Wartung

The Roth Basicline AM-6 Connection Module is designed for reliable, maintenance-free operation under normal conditions. Regular inspection can help ensure its longevity and optimal performance.

• Reinigung: If necessary, gently wipe the exterior of the module with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or any liquids that could enter the housing.

• Intermittierender Betrieb:
  Symptom: The module or connected devices behave erratically, turning on/off unexpectedly.
  Lösung: Inspect all connections for looseness, corrosion, or damage. Check for any external electrical interference. Ensure the ambient temperature and humidity are within the specified operating limits.
