4.1. Choosing Ventilation Mode:
The CBCS9201 supports two ventilation modes:
- Abluftbetrieb (Extraktionsbetrieb): Air is extracted from the kitchen and expelled outside through a ducting system. This mode requires an external vent. The flexible exhaust duct is provided for this purpose.
- Umluftbetrieb: Air is filtered through charcoal filters (CBCF002X2, included) to remove odors and then recirculated back into the kitchen. This mode is suitable when external venting is not possible. Ensure charcoal filters are installed for this mode.

5.1. Ein-/Ausschalten:
Rotate the leftmost knob (marked with a power symbol) to turn the range hood on or off.
5.2. Fan Speed Selection:
The range hood offers three fan speeds to match your cooking intensity:
- Geschwindigkeit 1 (Niedrig): Ideal for simmering or light cooking with minimal odors.

6. Wartung und Reinigung
Regelmäßige Wartung gewährleistet optimale Leistung und verlängert die Lebensdauer Ihrer Dunstabzugshaube.
6.1. Cleaning the Aluminum Grease Filters:
Die Aluminium-Fettfilter fangen Fettpartikel aus der Luft auf. Sie sollten regelmäßig (etwa alle 2–4 Wochen, je nach Nutzung) gereinigt werden, um ihre Effizienz zu erhalten und Brandgefahren vorzubeugen.
- Stromversorgung trennen: Always switch off and unplug the range hood before cleaning.
- Filter entfernen: Carefully unlatch and remove the aluminum grease filters from the underside of the hood.
- Filter reinigen: Wash the filters by hand in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before re-installation.
- Filter neu installieren: Place the dry filters back into their slots and secure the latches.

6.2. Replacing Charcoal Filters (Recirculating Mode Only):
If you are using the range hood in recirculating mode, the charcoal filters (CBCF002X2) absorb cooking odors. These filters are not washable and must be replaced approximately every 3-6 months, depending on usage.
