Installationshandbuch

1. Erste Platzierung und Verbindung

For optimal performance, plug the Powerline adapters directly into a wall outlet. Avoid power strips, surge protectors, or extension cords, as these can interfere with the Powerline signal.

  1. Connect the Main Adapter: Plug the Powerline 500 Adapter (the one without antennas, with the pass-through socket) into a wall outlet near your internet router. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to a LAN port on your router and the other end to the Ethernet port on this Powerline adapter.
  2. Connect the Wi-Fi Adapter: Plug the Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter (the one with antennas) into a wall outlet in the room where you need extended Wi-Fi or wired internet access.

2. Pairing the Adapters

The adapters should automatically pair. If they do not, or if you are adding new adapters to an existing Powerline network, follow these steps:

  1. Press the "Pair" button on the Powerline 500 Adapter (the one connected to your router) for 2 seconds. The Power LED will start blinking.
  2. Within 2 minutes, press the "Pair" button on the Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter (the one with antennas) for 2 seconds. The Power LED will also start blinking.
  3. Wait for a few moments. The Power LEDs on both adapters should turn solid green, indicating a successful connection. The House icon LED on both units should also illuminate.

3. WLAN-Konfiguration

The Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter broadcasts a Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password are printed on a label on the adapter itself.

Fehlerbehebung

If you encounter issues with your Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Duo Kit, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

Resetting the Adapters

If problems persist, you can reset the adapters to their factory default settings. This will erase all custom configurations, including Wi-Fi settings.

  1. With the adapter powered on, use a paperclip or a similar pointed object to press and hold the "Reset" button (usually a small pinhole) for approximately 10 seconds until all LEDs briefly flash.
  2. Release the button. The adapter will restart with factory default settings. You will then need to re-pair the adapters and reconfigure Wi-Fi settings.
