Installationshandbuch
1. Erste Platzierung und Verbindung
For optimal performance, plug the Powerline adapters directly into a wall outlet. Avoid power strips, surge protectors, or extension cords, as these can interfere with the Powerline signal.
- Connect the Main Adapter: Plug the Powerline 500 Adapter (the one without antennas, with the pass-through socket) into a wall outlet near your internet router. Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to a LAN port on your router and the other end to the Ethernet port on this Powerline adapter.
- Connect the Wi-Fi Adapter: Plug the Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter (the one with antennas) into a wall outlet in the room where you need extended Wi-Fi or wired internet access.

2. Pairing the Adapters
The adapters should automatically pair. If they do not, or if you are adding new adapters to an existing Powerline network, follow these steps:
- Press the "Pair" button on the Powerline 500 Adapter (the one connected to your router) for 2 seconds. The Power LED will start blinking.
- Within 2 minutes, press the "Pair" button on the Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter (the one with antennas) for 2 seconds. The Power LED will also start blinking.
- Wait for a few moments. The Power LEDs on both adapters should turn solid green, indicating a successful connection. The House icon LED on both units should also illuminate.
3. WLAN-Konfiguration
The Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter broadcasts a Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password are printed on a label on the adapter itself.
- Mit WLAN verbinden: On your Wi-Fi enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the network name (SSID) corresponding to your Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter.
- Passwort eingeben: Enter the Wi-Fi password (WPA/WPA2-PSK) found on the adapter's label.
- Optional: Clone Wi-Fi Settings: To seamlessly extend your existing Wi-Fi network, you can use the Wi-Fi Clone function. Press the WPS button on your main router, then within 2 minutes, press the Wi-Fi Clone button on the Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter. This will copy your router's SSID and password to the Powerline adapter.

Wartung
The STRONG Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Duo Kit requires minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to ensure optimal performance and longevity:
- Reinigung: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the adapters. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Belüftung: Ensure that the ventilation slots on the adapters are not blocked. Adequate airflow is essential to prevent overheating.
- Firmware-Updates: Periodically check the STRONG official website for any available firmware updates for your model. Firmware updates can improve performance, add features, or fix bugs.
- Energiesparmodus: The adapters are designed to enter a power-saving mode when no data is being transmitted, reducing energy consumption.

Fehlerbehebung
If you encounter issues with your Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Duo Kit, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Powerline Connection (House LED Off):
- Stellen Sie sicher, dass beide Adapter direkt an Wandsteckdosen angeschlossen sind, nicht an Mehrfachsteckdosen oder Verlängerungskabel.
- Versuchen Sie, die Adapter an verschiedene Steckdosen innerhalb desselben Stromkreises anzuschließen.
- Perform the pairing process again as described in the "Setup Guide" section.
- Prüfen Sie, ob elektrische Störungen durch andere Hochleistungsgeräte vorliegen.
- No Internet Access via Powerline:
- Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Ihr Hauptrouter über eine aktive Internetverbindung verfügt.
- Ensure the Ethernet cable connecting the main Powerline adapter to the router is securely plugged in.
- Check the Ethernet LED on the Powerline adapter to confirm a wired connection to your device.
- Wi-Fi Not Broadcasting or Accessible:
- Ensure the Wi-Fi LED on the Powerline Wi-Fi 500 Adapter is solid green.
- Verify you are entering the correct Wi-Fi SSID and password.
- If you used Wi-Fi Clone, ensure the cloning process was successful. You may need to reset the Wi-Fi adapter and re-clone or manually configure.
- Langsame Geschwindigkeit:
- Powerline performance can be affected by the quality of your electrical wiring. Older or complex wiring can reduce speeds.
- Avoid plugging adapters into outlets on different electrical phases if your home has a multi-phase electrical system.
- Ensure no high-power appliances (e.g., washing machines, refrigerators) are on the same circuit as the Powerline adapters, as they can cause interference.
Resetting the Adapters
If problems persist, you can reset the adapters to their factory default settings. This will erase all custom configurations, including Wi-Fi settings.
- With the adapter powered on, use a paperclip or a similar pointed object to press and hold the "Reset" button (usually a small pinhole) for approximately 10 seconds until all LEDs briefly flash.
- Release the button. The adapter will restart with factory default settings. You will then need to re-pair the adapters and reconfigure Wi-Fi settings.
