4. Installation und Einrichtung
Replacing your carbon post filter is a straightforward process. Ensure you have a bucket and towels ready to manage any water spills.
Schritte zum Filteraustausch:
- Wasserzufuhr abstellen: Turn off the cold water supply to your RO system and close the RO tank valve.
- Ablassdruck: Open your RO faucet to release any remaining pressure in the system. Allow water to drain until it stops.
- Disconnect Tubing: Carefully remove the fittings and tubing from your old carbon post filter. Note the flow direction if indicated on the old filter.
- Alten Filter entfernen: Unclip the old filter from its mounting bracket and discard it.
- Neuen Filter vorbereiten: Unwrap your new NU Aqua Carbon Post Filter. Apply 5-7 layers of Teflon tape to the threaded ends of any fittings you will be reusing.
- Install New Fittings: Thread the fittings into your new replacement filter. Do not overtighten, as this can cause cracks.
- Schlauch anschließen: Plug your tubing back into the new filter, ensuring a secure connection. Give a firm tug to confirm it is locked in place.
- Mount Filter: Clip the new filter back onto the system's mounting bracket.
- Wasserversorgung wiederherstellen: Turn on the cold water supply and open the RO tank valve.
- Spülsystem: Open the RO faucet and allow water to run for at least 5 minutes to flush the new filter. You may notice black carbon particles in the water initially; this is normal and will clear up.
