Einführung
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your TITUS 6ft Propane Torch Hose. This hose is designed as a replacement for CSE Propane Torches and is suitable for various applications including weed burning, roofing, asphalt work, and connecting to gas flame BBQ grills. Please read all instructions carefully before use.
Wichtige Sicherheitsinformationen
Propane is a highly flammable gas. Failure to follow these safety guidelines can result in serious injury, property damage, or death.
- Always use the hose in a well-ventilated area.
- Vor dem Öffnen des Propangastankventils muss sichergestellt werden, dass alle Verbindungen fest und sicher sind.
- Check for leaks using a soapy water solution. Bubbles indicate a leak. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
- Keep the hose away from sharp objects, hot surfaces, and open flames.
- Do not modify the hose or its fittings.
- Store propane tanks and hoses in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and ignition sources.
- Always close the propane tank valve when the hose is not in use.
Installationsanweisungen
The TITUS 6ft Propane Torch Hose features reverse threads on both ends. This means that to tighten the connections, you will turn them to the left (counter-clockwise), and to loosen, you will turn them to the right (clockwise). This is often referred to as "Lefty Tighty, Righty Loosey" for these specific connections.

- Schlauch prüfen: Before each use, visually inspect the entire hose for any signs of damage, cuts, abrasions, or kinks. Check the brass fittings for any cracks or deformities. Do not use if damaged.
- Anschluss an den Propangastank: Locate the POL (Prest-O-Lite) fitting on your propane tank. Align the hose's reverse-threaded connector with the tank's fitting. Turn the connector to the left (counter-clockwise) to tighten. Ensure it is hand-tight, then use a wrench to secure it firmly.
- Connect to Appliance/Torch: Locate the inlet fitting on your propane torch, grill, or other appliance. Align the other end of the hose's reverse-threaded connector with the appliance's fitting. Turn the connector to the left (counter-clockwise) to tighten. Secure firmly with a wrench.
- Dichtheitsprüfung: After connecting both ends, ensure the appliance valve is closed. Slowly open the propane tank valve. Apply a soapy water solution (half liquid dish soap, half water) to all connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Close the tank valve immediately, re-tighten the connection, and re-test. Do not proceed until all leaks are eliminated.
Operating Your Propane Hose
Once the hose is securely connected and leak-tested, you can begin operation of your propane appliance.
- Ensure the area is clear of flammable materials.
- Öffnen Sie das Ventil des Propangastanks langsam vollständig.
- Follow the operating instructions for your specific propane torch or appliance.
- Never leave an operating propane appliance unattended.
- When finished, always close the propane tank valve first, then allow any remaining gas in the hose to burn off before closing the appliance valve.
Pflege und Wartung
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your propane hose.
- Reinigung: Den Schlauch mit Wasser abwischenamp Entfernen Sie Schmutz und Ablagerungen mit einem feuchten Tuch. Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven Chemikalien oder Scheuermittel.
- Inspektion: Regularly inspect the hose for any signs of wear, damage, or degradation. Pay close attention to the areas near the fittings.
