Kaffeezubereitung
- Vorheizen (optional): Pour a small amount of boiling water into the carafe, swirl, and discard. This helps maintain coffee temperature.
- Kaffeesatz hinzufügen: Add 1 rounded tablespoon of coarse ground coffee per cup (approximately 10g per 180ml/6oz of water). For a 50oz French press, this would be about 8-9 tablespoons.
- Heißes Wasser hinzufügen: Pour hot (not boiling) water over the coffee grounds. Ensure all grounds are saturated.
- Aufsehen: Gently stir the coffee and water with a non-abrasive utensil.
- Deckel auflegen: Place the plunger assembly on top of the carafe. Turn the lid so the arrow indicator is away from the pour spout to seal and retain heat during brewing. Do not press the plunger down yet.
- Brauen: Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
- Drücken: Slowly and steadily press the plunger down. Apply gentle, even pressure. Do not force the plunger.
