1. Einleitung

The GoPro Light Mod is a compact and powerful LED lighting accessory designed to enhance your footage in various conditions. It provides wide, smooth, and even illumination, ensuring crisp detail in your videos and photos. This module can be used independently or attached to compatible GoPro cameras via the Media Mod (sold separately).

3. Einrichtung und Installation

3.1 Charging the Light Mod

Before first use, fully charge your Light Mod using the provided USB-C cable. The charging port is located on the side of the unit, protected by a waterproof door. Gently open the door, connect the USB-C cable to a power source, and allow the unit to charge until the indicator light signals full charge.

3.2 Attaching to GoPro Cameras (via Media Mod)

The Light Mod is designed to attach to GoPro HERO8 Black, HERO9 Black, HERO10 Black, HERO11 Black, and HERO12 Black cameras when used with the Media Mod (sold separately). The Media Mod features cold-shoe mounts on the top and side. Slide the Light Mod's mounting shoe into an available cold-shoe mount on the Media Mod until it clicks securely into place.

3.3 Standalone Use and Other Mounts

For standalone use or attachment to other GoPro mounts and accessories, utilize the included 2-Finger Adapter. This adapter allows the Light Mod to connect to standard GoPro mounting points.

4.1 Ein-/Ausschalten und Helligkeitseinstellung

The Light Mod features a single button on top for control. Press the button to cycle through the four brightness levels and the strobe mode. To power off, press and hold the button for a few seconds.

4.2 Brightness Levels and Battery Runtime

The Light Mod offers four levels of brightness, providing up to 200 lumens for various lighting needs. Approximate runtimes are as follows:

• Level 1 (20 Lumens): Bis zu 6 Stunden Laufzeit.
• Level 2 (60 Lumens): Bis zu 2 Stunden Laufzeit.
• Level 3 (125 Lumens): Bis zu 1 Stunden Laufzeit.
• Overdrive Mode (200 Lumens): Provides maximum brightness for 30 seconds.
• Stroboskop-Modus: For signaling or special effects.

Use the included Light Diffuser to soften the light output and reduce harsh shadows, especially for close-up subjects.

6. Wartung

• Reinigung: After use, especially in saltwater environments, rinse the Light Mod with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Ensure the USB-C port door is securely closed before rinsing.
• Lagerung: Store the Light Mod in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Batteriepflege: For long-term storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50-70%) to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.

7. Fehlerbehebung

If you encounter issues with your Light Mod, try the following:

• Light Mod not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB-C cable.
• Light Mod not charging: Verify that the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the Light Mod and the power source. Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
• Inkonsistente Helligkeit: Ensure the Light Mod is not overheating. If it feels warm, allow it to cool down before continued use.
