4. Einrichtung
4.1 Einlegen der Batterie
The thermometer operates on a 1.5V button cell battery (LR41 type, not supplied). To install or replace the battery:
- Carefully remove the battery cover at the end of the thermometer.
- Insert a new 1.5V LR41 button cell battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
- Bringen Sie die Batterieabdeckung wieder fest an.

5. Bedienungsanleitung
5.1 Messung durchführen
- Press the ON/OFF button to activate the thermometer. The last measured temperature will be displayed briefly, followed by "L°C" or "L°F" indicating it's ready for measurement.
- Place the thermometer tip in the desired measurement location (oral, axillary, or rectal).
- Wait for the thermometer to beep, indicating the measurement is complete. This typically takes around 30 seconds.
- Lesen Sie die auf dem LCD-Bildschirm angezeigte Temperatur ab.
- Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the thermometer, or it will automatically shut off after approximately 10 minutes to conserve battery life.

5.2 Umschalten zwischen Celsius (°C) und Fahrenheit (°F)
To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, ensure the thermometer is off. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for approximately 3-5 seconds until the display changes from °C to °F or vice versa. Release the button, and the new unit will be set for future measurements.
5.3 Anzeige für niedrigen Batteriestand
When the battery is low, a battery symbol will appear on the LCD screen, indicating that the battery needs to be replaced soon.

6. Wartung
6.1 Reinigung und Desinfektion
To ensure hygiene and accuracy, clean the thermometer before and after each use:
- Wipe the thermometer tip with a soft cloth moistened with 70% isopropyl alcohol or wash it gently with soap and water.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the entire thermometer in water.
