5.1 Using the 8V Cordless Drill Driver

The 8V Cordless Drill Driver is designed for drilling into wood, plastics, and soft metals, and for driving screws. It is not suitable for drilling into concrete, brick, tile, or hard metals.

  1. Select the correct bit: Choose the appropriate drill bit for the material and hole size, or the correct screwdriver bit for the fastener.
  2. Set the direction: Use the forward/reverse switch to select the desired rotation direction (forward for drilling/driving, reverse for removing screws). Ensure it is in the forward position for most tasks.
  3. Position the drill: Place the tip of the bit on the workpiece where you intend to drill or drive.
  4. Start drilling/driving: Press the trigger switch to start the drill. The drill features a variable speed trigger, allowing you to control the speed (up to 300 RPM) by how much you depress the trigger. A built-in LED light will illuminate the work area.
  5. Druck ausüben: Apply steady, even pressure in line with the drill bit. Avoid excessive force, which can damage the bit or the workpiece.
  6. Complete the task: Continue until the hole is drilled to the desired depth or the screw is fully driven. Release the trigger to stop the drill.
