Installationshandbuch

Charging the Bee-Bots

Before first use, ensure all Bee-Bots are fully charged. The set includes a recharging docking station and a USB cable.

1. Connect the USB cable to the recharging docking station.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a computer USB port or a USB mains adapter (not supplied).
3. Place the Bee-Bots into the hexagonal slots on the docking station. Ensure they are seated correctly for charging.
4. A light indicator on the Bee-Bot will show its charging status (refer to Bee-Bot's individual manual for specific light indications).

Preparing the Play Mats

The set includes three distinct play mats to enhance learning and play scenarios.

• Alphabet Mat: Designed to introduce the alphabet and literacy games. Size: 75 x 90cm.
• Fairytale Mat: Features characters and settings from popular fairytales for imaginative play and storytelling.
• Countryside Mat: Transforms coding lessons into exciting countryside adventures.

Unroll each mat and lay it flat on a smooth surface. Ensure there are no creases that might impede the Bee-Bot's movement.

Operating Your Bee-Bot

Basic Movement and Programming

The Bee-Bot is controlled using the buttons on its back. Each button corresponds to a specific action:

• Forward (▲): Moves the Bee-Bot forward one step (15cm).
• Backward (▼): Moves the Bee-Bot backward one step (15cm).
• Turn Left (◀): Turns the Bee-Bot 90 degrees to the left.
• Turn Right (▶): Turns the Bee-Bot 90 degrees to the right.
• Pause: Inserts a short pause in the program.
• Clear (X): Clears the current program from the Bee-Bot's memory.
• Go (▶): Führt die programmierte Befehlsfolge aus.

To program the Bee-Bot:

1. Drücken Sie die Clear (X) button to ensure no previous program is stored.
2. Press the directional and pause buttons in the desired sequence. The Bee-Bot can store up to 200 steps.

Advanced Features (See and Say Version)

The "See and Say" Bee-Bot offers enhanced interactive capabilities:

• Bee-Bot Detection: Your Bee-Bot can detect other Bee-Bots or Blue-Bots in close proximity and will play a default "hello" sound.
• Custom Sound Recording: Users can record their own sounds to be played when specific buttons are pressed or when another Bee-Bot is detected. Refer to the Bee-Bot's individual quick start guide for detailed instructions on recording sounds.

Using the Play Mats

The included play mats provide structured environments for programming challenges:

• Alphabet Mat: Use this mat to practice letter recognition, spelling simple words, or navigating to specific letters.
• Fairytale Mat: Program the Bee-Bot to follow paths related to fairytale narratives, encouraging storytelling and sequencing skills.
• Countryside Mat: Create programs for the Bee-Bot to explore farm animals, crops, or natural landscapes, integrating with environmental themes.

Encourage children to plan their Bee-Bot's route on paper before entering commands, fostering problem-solving and logical thinking.

Wartung

Proper care will extend the life of your Bee-Bot and accessories:
