3. Einrichtung und erste Verwendung
3.1 Auspacken
Carefully remove all packaging materials from the coffee maker. Ensure all components listed in Section 2 are present and undamaged.
3.2 Erster Spülzyklus
Before brewing coffee for the first time, perform an initial rinse cycle to clean the internal system.
- Füllen Sie den Wasserbehälter bis zur MAX-Markierung mit frischem, kaltem Leitungswasser.
- Place the 1-cup pod holder (without a coffee pod) and a cup under the coffee spout.
- Close the lid and ensure it is properly locked.
- Plug the appliance into a grounded wall socket. The ON/OFF button will flash.
- Press the 1-cup button. The machine will start the rinse cycle.

4. Bedienungsanleitung
4.1 Kaffee zubereiten
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold tap water.
- Öffnen Sie den Deckel.
- Place one coffee pod in the 1-cup pod holder for a single cup, or two coffee pods in the 2-cup pod holder for two cups. Ensure the coffee pod is centered.
- Close the lid and ensure it is properly locked.
- Stellen Sie ein oder zwei Tassen unter den Kaffeeauslauf.
- Press the ON/OFF button. The button will flash while heating up and light up continuously when ready.
- Intensität auswählen: Use the intensity slider to choose between a classic coffee or an intense coffee.
- Press the 1-cup button for one cup or the 2-cup button for two cups. The machine will brew your coffee.
- After brewing, the machine will automatically switch off to save energy.

5. Reinigung und Wartung
5.1 Tägliche Reinigung
- Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
- Remove and empty the drip tray and metal drip grid. Rinse them under hot water.
- Remove the used coffee pod(s) and rinse the pod holder under hot water.
- Wischen Sie die Außenseite des Geräts mitamp Tuch ab. Keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel verwenden.
5.2 Entkalkung
Regular descaling is crucial to maintain optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your coffee maker. The frequency depends on water hardness and usage. Philips recommends descaling every 3 months or after 400 cups.
- Use a descaling agent specifically designed for coffee machines, preferably Philips SENSEO descaler. Follow the instructions on the descaling agent packaging.
- Fill the water reservoir with the descaling solution as per the descaler instructions.
- Place the 1-cup pod holder (without a coffee pod) and a large container (at least 1.5L) under the coffee spout.
- Start the descaling cycle according to your machine's specific descaling procedure (refer to the full manual for detailed steps, usually involves pressing and holding specific buttons).
- After the descaling cycle, perform several rinse cycles with fresh water to remove any descaling agent residue.
6. Fehlerbehebung
