3. Bedienungsanleitung

Follow these steps to effectively use your KREG Pocket-Hole Jig 320 for creating strong wood joints.

3.1 Securing the Jig to Material

Position the jig on your workpiece. The jig features an anti-slip base (GripMaxx™) for secure positioning. Use the included Classic 2-inch Face Clamp to firmly hold the jig and workpiece in place. Proper clamping is crucial for accurate drilling and preventing movement during operation.

3.2 Drilling Pocket Holes

  1. Ensure the jig is securely clamped to your workpiece.
  2. Insert the step drill bit (with the stop collar set) into the drill guide of the jig.
  3. Begin drilling at a moderate speed, applying steady pressure. The stop collar will prevent over-drilling.
  4. Once the stop collar makes contact with the jig, withdraw the drill bit.
  5. Repeat for additional pocket holes as needed for your joint.

3.3 Assembling Joints

After drilling the pocket holes, align the two workpieces to be joined. Use a suitable Kreg pocket-hole screw (sold separately) and a square-drive bit (often included with screws) to drive the screw into the pocket hole and into the adjoining workpiece. Ensure the pieces are held tightly together during assembly, ideally with a face clamp, to create a strong and flush joint.

4. Wartung

Proper maintenance will extend the life and performance of your KREG Pocket-Hole Jig 320.

  • Reinigung: After each use, clear any sawdust or debris from the jig and drill bit using a brush or compressed air. Ensure the drill guides are free of obstructions.
  • Lagerung: Store the jig and its components in the provided case in a dry environment to prevent rust and damage.
  • Pflege des Bohrers: Periodically check the step drill bit for sharpness. A dull bit can lead to poor hole quality and increased effort. Replace if necessary.
