1. Einleitung

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Chefman 5-in-1 Digital Panini Press Grill & Griddle. This versatile appliance functions as a panini press, contact grill, and a 180° lay-flat indoor grill with reversible grill and griddle plates. Please read all instructions carefully before first use and retain for future reference.

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury. This appliance is for household use only. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet. Do not use appliance for other than intended use. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

4. Einrichtung und erste Inbetriebnahme

  1. Auspacken: Carefully remove all packaging materials and promotional labels from your appliance.
  2. Erste Wäsche: Before first use, wash the removable grill/griddle plates and drip tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Tropfschale installieren: Slide the removable drip tray into its designated slot at the front of the unit.
  4. Montageplatten: Ensure the grill/griddle plates are securely clicked into place on both the top and bottom cooking surfaces.

5. Bedienungsanleitung

5.1. Powering On & Setting Temperature

  1. Plug the appliance into a standard electrical outlet. The LCD display will illuminate.

  3. Use the control knob to select your desired temperature (175°F – 450°F). The display will show "PREHEAT" until the set temperature is reached.
  4. Once preheated, the unit will beep, and "PREHEAT" will disappear from the display.

5.2. Using as a Panini Press (Closed Mode)

  1. Preheat the unit to your desired temperature.
  2. Place your sandwich or food item on the bottom grill plate.
  3. Gently lower the top plate onto the food. The floating hinge will adjust to the thickness of your item.
  4. Cook for the recommended time or until desired doneness is achieved.
  5. Use a heat-resistant spatula to remove food.

5.3. Using as a Grill/Griddle (180° Open Mode)

  1. To open the grill to 180°, locate the hinge release lever on the right side of the unit.
  2. Push the lever to release the top plate, then gently open the top plate until it lies flat, creating a larger cooking surface.
  3. Preheat the unit to your desired temperature.
  4. Place food items (e.g., burgers, steaks, pancakes, eggs) on both cooking surfaces.
  5. Cook, turning as needed, until desired doneness.
  6. Use a heat-resistant spatula to remove food.

5.4. Reversible Plates

The cooking plates are reversible, offering a ribbed grill surface on one side and a flat griddle surface on the other. To reverse a plate:

6. Wartung & Reinigung
