Einrichtung und erste Verwendung

1. Auspacken: Entfernen Sie sorgfältig sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial und vergewissern Sie sich, dass alle Komponenten vorhanden sind.
2. Reinigung: Before first use, wash the water tank, drip tray, and capsule adapters with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
3. Platzierung: Stellen Sie die Kaffeemaschine auf eine stabile, ebene und hitzebeständige Oberfläche, fern von Wasserquellen und Hitzequellen.
4. Wassertank auffüllen: Fill the 800ml water tank with fresh, soft, or purified water. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
5. Erster Spülgang:
   • Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Wassertank gefüllt ist.
   • Stellen Sie eine leere Tasse auf die Abtropfschale.
   • Insert an empty capsule adapter (without a capsule) into the machine.

   • Press the power button briefly. The light will turn red, indicating preheating.
   • Once the light stops blinking (approx. 25-30 seconds), press the brew button to run a full cycle of hot water through the machine. Repeat this process 2-3 times to clean the internal system.

Bedienungsanleitung

The KOTLIE coffee maker offers both hot and cold brewing options and adjustable water volume.

Brewing Coffee (General Steps)

1. Prepare Capsule/Ground Coffee: Insert your chosen capsule into the corresponding adapter, or fill the ground coffee adapter with desired coffee grounds.
2. Adapter einsetzen: Open the machine's handle, place the filled adapter into the designated slot, and close the handle firmly.
3. Wassertank auffüllen: Ensure the 800ml water tank is filled with fresh water.
4. Vorheizen: Plug in the machine. Briefly press the power button. The light will turn red and blink during the 25-second preheating phase. Wait until the light stops blinking.
5. Wassermenge auswählen: Use the left button on the control panel to select your desired water volume. There are 7 visual volume options available.
6. Brauen: Press the brew button (right button) to start brewing. The machine will automatically stop once the selected volume is dispensed. To manually stop brewing at any time, press the brew button again.
7. Genießen: Your coffee is ready. Carefully remove the cup.
8. Remove Used Capsule/Grounds: Open the handle, remove the adapter, and dispose of the used capsule or grounds. Clean the adapter if necessary.

Hot and Cold Brewing

• Hot Brewing: Follow the general brewing steps. The machine will heat the water to the optimal temperature for hot coffee.
• Cold Brewing: For iced coffee, ensure the water tank contains cold water (preferably ice water). The machine will dispense coffee at ambient temperature. You will need to add ice to your cup separately. Note: The machine does not have a cooling function.

Descaling (Every 200 Cups or Monthly)

To prevent limescale buildup, which can affect performance and coffee taste, descaling is essential. Use citric acid or a dedicated coffee machine descaling solution.

1. Entkalkungslösung vorbereiten: Mix descaling solution according to the manufacturer's instructions, or dissolve 30g of citric acid in 800ml of water.
2. Wassertank auffüllen: Gießen Sie die Entkalkungslösung in den Wassertank.
3. Laufzyklen: Place a large container under the coffee outlet. Run several brewing cycles (without capsules) until the water tank is empty.
4. Abspritzen: Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh, clean water. Run 2-3 full cycles with clean water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
5. Saubere Komponenten: Clean the capsule adapters and drip tray as usual.

Important: Do not use vinegar for descaling, as it can damage internal components over time.
